So, it's September already, which means my birthday is coming up!

I mean, it's technically February back home, but I'm not gonna complain about celebrating my birthday early. Besides, that seems like way too complicated math to try and figure out what it should be.

[But then again, this is the guy who struggled at determining the age of someone who was a baby 50 years ago...]

[The first question is one that comes to mind immediately, but it's less about him, and more about her. Still... It's the one that's been eating at her for months.]

What's your family like?

Well, I only know a little bit about my grandfather, Jonathan Joestar. His life is a little bit of a long story, but he died fifty years ago just after he married Granny Erina on a ship going from England to America. He died making sure she got out safely. She never remarried after that and raised my father almost entirely on her own.

Uncle Speedwagon was always around and looked after her since he was best friends with my grandfather. He used to just be a common criminal running around London, but after he met my grandfather, he turned his life around. Now he's got a huge foundation and a lot of money. He's never married or had kids though, so I don't know what's gonna happen to it after he goes.

[Although knowing Speedwagon? He'd have to guess it will go to the Joestars. Provided that Joseph actually manages to survive past the night he left and ended up here.]

Anyway, I never knew my parents. I was a baby when they died. All I know is stuff that Granny and Speedwagon told me while I was growing up. So, Granny's raised me. She's in New York right now with Smokey. Smokey's a kid who stole my wallet. The police were giving him a hard time so I got him out of that scrape and brought him back with me. He didn't have anybody else.

Only Speedwagon really knows what's going on back home. Smokey knows a little more than Granny, but not much. I just don't want her worrying about me.
