[ The feed pops open to show Vanyel, his hair pulled back in a loose queue that falls over one shoulder. It's like he tried his best to look good for this broadcast, but that surely was not it at all. He didn't even bother to dye out that gray streak running from his temple back into the rest of his hair. In his arms he is cradling a guitar in his arms, fingers idly plucking, soft little twangs underscoring his words when he speaks. ]

Good day - evening, perhaps? It is so hard to tell on the ships.

I was wondering, as we travel to our new destination, if any one would wish to share the music of their home worlds with me? Music has always been a passion of mine, and I feel that the music of a world tells a much deeper story than simply words. I would appreciate, and be honored, to hear yours.

[ For those who are aboard the Starstruck, he is sitting in what counts as his room, strumming the guitar though the tune itself is something that is more at home in a medieval king's court than it is aboard a sleek spaceship - or even on a guitar. He will gladly receive any visitors who wish to stop by. ]

No, nothing like that. It is merely a pass time of mine when I was boy. I could never quite give it up, even when I was Chosen.

Yyfandes - my Companion. They are magical creatures in my world that look like white horses. A Chosen and a Companion together protect the kingdom with our Gifts.

Yiffan... [He starts to try to say it, ten he gives up.] Oh, that sounds neat! I kind of have my own companion too. His name's Lion... he's a lion! But a white horse sounds like it must be a really pretty companion!

She is gorgeous - the most beautiful creature I know.

I think she would like you, Steven. Perhaps one day she and Lion can meet.

I can only imagine! [He spends a moment trying to imagine her.] So pretty!

I'd be really honored if she liked me! I hope that one day we can arrange a companion playdate. I don't think that's happened before! And don't worry, I think they'll get along just fine! [Lion wouldn't eat anything that's really really pretty, he's sure.]

Perhaps one day we can. Though unfortunately she is a horse a ill-suited for life on a ship, so for now, she is... far away from here.

_{[ He had no real proof of that other than the faint pressure of her in
the back of his mind, a comforting presence, but she felt like she was...
sleeping. Alive, but sleeping, quiet. He was still adjusting to it, this

[Steven offers a sympathetic frown.]

I'm really sorry to hear that. I guess not all horses are meant for outer space.

But hey! If Lion does show up here, things'll be a lot easier! He can make portals that go to all sorts of places, so... I'm sure we'd be able to find your companion and hang out without problems like real super-buds!

I am sure she is happier wherever she is - probably a nice pasture with plenty of grass and shade.

I bet she misses you, too. ...But she's probably really really happy at the same time!

Yep! Lion can do all kinds of weird things and never tells me about it. But he only does things when he wants to. He's a picky lion like that!

I certainly hope so. She deserves it.

Haha, well, he sounds very much like any other cat that way. I suppose that lions would not be so very different, magic or otherwise.

In my experiences, cats always have at least one secret about their person.

Yep! And Lion always makes sure to have at least one extra! He's a sneaky cat.
