[Luckily for Octavia's dignity, somehow her initial waking up freakout wasn't broadcast, so the first televised signs of her include the brunette leaning against the wall, curiously looking over her communicator. She jumps a little when it starts recording, but composure isn't too far off.

A raised brow greets the fleet, followed by a hesitant attempt at a smile. It's a bad one.]

So, space. [It's said in a very dry, unimpressed tone.] Anyone mind telling me what the hell's going on? I've got things to do, and this wasn't one of them... Whatever this is.

[She straightens, moving back to her initial bunk.]

And someone tell me what dick took my sword. I want it back.

[This one catches him in the face, mid-laughter.]

Rude! [He then lets his tail release its hold and flops right back down onto the bed, but still laughing all the way.]

You earned it! [Octavia's quiet for a moment, before shoving him with her booted foot.]

Hey, thanks. For a bit there, I almost forgot we're stuck on some weird ass space tv show.

Oof! [He seems to have earned a lot. But he smiles regardless.]

Heh, I could say the same to you.

...Wait, what about a tv show?!

[grounds]

[She gives an audible UGH at his question.]

Apparently we're on an intergalactic reality show? [Her hand holds up the comm, and she wiggles it for emphasis.] Read that on here.

[Wowww he practically just woke up and then talked to you, give him a break!!

He looks it over and takes it all in.]

[She just wanted to forget! It's super lame and tacky, okay.

Cue the eyeroll.]

Speak for yourself! I've never been on tv before... I mean, not this kind of tv!

[The he adds, a lot more lightly,]

I hope they're catching my good side!

We don't have TV where I'm from, so I guess the charm's lost here.

[Octavia snorts at him.] Which one is that, anyway?

[digthefuzz]

No TV? That's something we have to find a way to fix!

Um... And it would be this one! [He shifts his face to the side and gives a goofy smile.]

Trust me, I'm fine without it. [A sly grin crosses her features and she leans over to get a good look.]

Hm, I think we're missing something. [And like that, she grabs a blanket and tosses it over his head.] Now we're talking!

[digthefuzz]

[He just chuckles from beneath the blanket.]

Ah, now I'm ready to meet my adoring fans...!

[grounds]

Give them my sympathies.

[There's a mock salute at his plight.]

[digthefuzz]

Will do! [He makes out the salute from under the blanket and salutes right back.]

You know, you make a good welcoming committee.

[grounds]

Yeah, a one woman committee that just got here herself. That sounds like a great idea, sign me up.

[There goes the eye rolling.] I'm just dealing with this the best way I can. Plus, freaking out only gets you so far.

Well, it's one way to commit!

[He adds jokingly with a shrug.]

Hey, you definitely shouldn't underestimate your methods. If it weren't for you, I might have forgotten that second part.

[grounds]

[A laugh escapes her as she shakes her head.]

To be fair, the freaking out was redirected at you for a while, there. I can't take all the credit.

Ah, how humble of you. ...At least I'm used to it.

[grounds]

[Kurt gets an apologetic smile.]

Yeah, uh, sorry about that, by the way.

[digthefuzz]

...It's alright. Believe or not, I've had a lot worse reactions.

[grounds]

[She looks at him, considering.]

From much worse people. They're missing out.

Yeah, you bet they are! They're... just not good enough to know the fuzzy man!
