[It's been a whirlwind day for Kurt Wagner. He was emotionally raw from a traumatic event when he woke up in space. Kurt had arrived on the day of the shuffle and had been doing his best to try to keep a low profile. People aren't always the most acceptable of a fuzzy blue mutant who looks like a devil, after all. And he'd managed to pick up the basics, at least, between what encounters he had on the Marsiva, while managing to be lucky enough to avoid the network.

His luck ran out once he was shuffled onto the Huntress. The video feed catches an unsuspecting Kurt Wagner tinkering with his watch and being increasingly frustrated with it as he keeps prodding at it.]

Come onnn.... Why won't it work? Oh man!

[That's close enough to a joke that he smirks and gives a light chuckle.]

See? You can be funny! It is a good strategy. You don't even have a tail - what's up with that?

I never said I couldn't! [Octavia seems affronted, over dramatically so. But her smile gives her away.]

It's a personal matter, Kurt. How could you even ask that?

Well, you never said you definitely could! [He returns his own smartass smirk.]

Sorry. I just thought that everyone had a tail to tell.

I said I didn't perform in demand! I'm not some trained monkey. [Why yes, that may very well be a reference to their previous conversation.

And we're back to the bad jokes.

You mean back to the really great jokes! [He waggles his eyebrows to sell that.]

[A scowl forms, and she looks pretty fed up.]

Kurt, if the rest of your jokes entail this stuff, I'm not sure how long we can keep talking. I thought we blue through this phase last time.

[To her credit, the only indication of humor is the twitching of her lips as she tries not to grin.]

[Kurt gives a knowing look back at her and shakes his head. While.... stifling some laughter.]

Oh, is that what happened? My memory's a little fuzzy right now, you know?
