She had only spent a month with Richie before ending up here. She only had a month of freedom. It's almost funny.

Except where it isn't at all.

She refuses to be complacent. She spent over five hundred years as a prisoner in that "temple", that place of worship, she will not be another one here. Which is why she opens up her feed. (using the device has been an adjustment)]

Does anyone know who is responsible for us being here? Why has no one fought back? Do you enjoy being slaves?

I would feel sorry for them, that they can't see the truth. None of us are willingly here. And yet they force us to perform for them.

I believe one of the reasons fighting back is uncommon is that there's no centralized enemy base to target.

I don't think content is the word. Exhausted, maybe, at least in large part.

And prisoner to you is the same as slave, yes?

In my experience they tend to be the same thing.

It's a neat trick, paying your slaves for their services so they forget they're imprisoned.

A good owner always lavishes his slave with gifts. It helps to keep people complacent, to trick them to think they're in a better state than they are.
