[Santanico sits by the window, looking outside at space. At least there isn't sunlight here, she doesn't have to worry about it burning or hurting her skin and yet she almost misses it. She had only spent a month with Richie before ending up here. She only had a month of freedom. It's almost funny.

Except where it isn't at all.

She refuses to be complacent. She spent over five hundred years as a prisoner in that "temple", that place of worship, she will not be another one here. Which is why she opens up her feed. (using the device has been an adjustment)]

Does anyone know who is responsible for us being here? Why has no one fought back? Do you enjoy being slaves?

I'm not sure. I hadn't quite decided what course of action to take yet. But I refuse to just complacently accept my situation.

Asking people if they enjoy being held captive and forced to run around for the entertainment of the viewers isn't a good way to make friends, I'd think.

That's a pretty bad tack to take when you're in an environment with a lot of other people. [ Even he, antisocial jerk that he is, knows that. ] But. Like I said, whatever works.

It's worked for me so long. [Relying on other people makes you vulnerable in a way she simply isn't comfortable with.]

[ He just kinda shrugs. Eh. ] Whatever. If you want to cut down your probability of getting help if you're ever in trouble, not my problem. [ He's not quite prideful enough to think (after at least a year of softening up) that he'll never get in trouble. He has confidence in his abilities, but they're in a whole new environment now. ]
