[While grateful that his stay on the Marsiva had been short, Remy was starting to wish he had stayed there upon arriving on SS Wonderduck (that name...). It was certainly more cramped than he had expected, having been use to his decent size apartment he had to himself back in Luceti and all the items he had collected over his time there. Yet, if this was going to be home for an unknown amount of time he may as well make friends and get to know the crew...]
b) Kitchen
This is... just so wrong. [Over the days he had been settling in Remy was getting more use to his surroundings. He could take the bed situation, and the bathroom, even the lacking rec room and gym (which was helping out a lot to help distract him from having to ration his cigarettes), but the kitchen... Never in his life had he had to put up with food this bad for so long, it would be quite a learning curve.
At least he had coffee.]
a;
Oh, hey, another noob. What's up, dude. You get your chocolate dessert.
[He's a lot less orange than his icons imply. In fact, he isn't orange at all and looks like a perfectly normal kid—sunglasses indoors and crow feathers aside.]
no subject
Thanks leet, that sweet of ya since I didn't bring ya 'nything. [An all too automatic reaction before Remy took a few steps closer to have a proper introduction, one with less sarcasm.] Name's Remy.
no subject
Davesprite. Welcome aboard the Wonderbird. [Said with a light shrug; he never uses the right name anymore.] Inasmuch as you can feel welcome aboard a tin can in space, post-kidnapping and brain surgery, but hey, who's keeping track of that.
[He will happily compensate for Remy using less sarcasm.]
no subject
Also, Wonderbird? Not the quite the name he had been given for the ship.] Well, donno if it be an upgrade, but did just come from bein' in a town under a giant dome, post-kidnappin', 'nd bein' experimented on in a whole bunch of strange, 'nterestin', 'nd nightmare 'nducin' ways. [A shrug of his shoulder at that.]
Aliens, ya know, just can't seem to stop themselves from stealin' others, hein?
no subject
Dome's one I haven't heard yet, though. There's been a couple castles and towers, a space station...I've done the video game and city shit myself. [He looks thoughtful for a second, before he shrugs.]
They like us secondhand here. Maybe it ramps up the drama.
no subject
That's... not overly comfortin' to hear that there be so many similar situations out there, 'nd clearly a lot of bored aliens or possible higher powers, or some merde like that.
no subject
[Seriously, kidnapping people from alt dimensions seems like a pretty shoddy last ditch effort. Even if it did work.]
But this one's boredom for sure. Unless there's shifty shit happening behind the scenes that we don't know about. That seems likely.
no subject
Guess that be where the whole stuck in a reality TV show comes in to play, they got nothin' better to watch than grabbin' a bunch of people 'nd shovin' them into a rather tiny space. [There was a glance around the cabin as Remy said this, not looking that keen on being stuck in such a tin can for long periods of time.]

Don't suppose that means we start doin' bulk take out each time we find a half decent place, try 'nd cramp it all into the fridge 'nd see how long it lasts in there.
no subject
[She grinned.]
Not a bad idea- and I know people are talking about trying to find a way to grow some veggies, at least. Maybe next planet will have an endless buffet and takeout containers.

I'm all for it- though I have to admit I don't know much about growing plants- and I'm no great shakes at cooking them, even. I'm much better at putting people back together.
no subject
I ain't too bad a cook, if I say so m'self, just... need to work out all this merde 'nd how to make it half resemble normal food, but should be possible.
no subject
I'm Jennifer, by the way. I'm the medical officer here, in case you hadn't guessed.
no subject
I guess technically 'm tactical support, 'ccordin' to this thing. [Before he pointed his free hand to his augment behind his ear.] Whatever that means. Hopefully it 'long the lines of 'nfiltration like I was doin' at the last place I got dumped at.

[ jade will just sort of grumble this in commiseration as she ducks her way around him, heading to grab a cup. she's a little embarrassed at how rumpled she is - it looks an awful lot like she's just woken up from a nap, and this probably isn't the best way to greet a new crewmember. alas. ]
But you can get decent food on the stations and planets sometimes. It's not always a total bust.
no subject
That or goin' to have to find hot sauce that be strong 'nough to numb m' tongue. [The flavor of the 'foods' so far weren't too bad, the texture however was taking some getting use to, as well as the lack of it feeling like anything resembling a true kitchen. He actually felt out of place in it.]
no subject
forgive her: she spent the first thirteen years of her life mostly in isolation, and some of the most banal things still manage to fascinate her. ]
Or I could grow some really spicy peppers, if you like that. I dunno how much it'd help the protein, but maybe it's worth a shot, right?
[ she pauses, then, before seeming to remember- ]
Oh, and I'm Jade. You're new on the ship, right?
no subject
'nd I might just take ya up on that sometime, since ya used the magic word there.
no subject
[ she levels a mock-serious look his way. ]
'Protein gel'?

'm from a little place... well, big place, called N'Orleans. [His accent causin' the words to merge together.] Though donno how much that'll mean to ya, all depends if the city even exists in ya world. Hell, depend if America exists in ya world, never know with some of the folk 've run 'nto in the past.
