[Hello, Fleet, there's a fearsome-looking suit of armor peering at the screen- though right now only one of his eyes is visible.]

So this is like a telephone or a radio, right? Except there are pictures and words on it, too! I really like it!

I'm Alphonse. Uh, don't mind how I look- I wear armor for protection. [Al wasn't under any delusions that he'd be able to keep the fact that he was hollow inside a secret for very long- he never seemed to be able to- but he was going to try.]

Brother, are you here, too? Major Miles? ... Winry?

[Action, on the Marsiva]

[There wasn't much Al could to do make himself look less conspicuous- he'd accepted that long ago- but here, in this unfamiliar place, he wished more than ever that he could. The Homunculi had eyes and ears everywhere in Amestris, and he had to be working under the assumption that they were here, too. He could only hope that they wouldn't be putting any innocent people in danger trying to find him.

He was also worried about Edward. He knew his brother would be fine in the storm, watched over by Major Miles, but what would happen to him afterward? And what about Winry, May, and Dr. Marcoh? He could care less about Scar, but he'd gone out to try and warn them that Briggs was unsafe, and now there was nobody to deliver that message.

Of course, if he kept blacking out... if this was it, if his soul was going to let go of his armor body... he might not have been able to get to them himself anyway.

Al let out a sigh. At least the view was pretty. Stars were everywhere.]

I'm pretty new, myself, so I'm still getting used to it all, but if you've got questions, I can try to answer them.

I appreciate it. So, I've heard someone mention there are other ships- am I going to get taken to one at some point?

That's typical, yeah. After a few days on the ship you're on right now, you'll be reassigned to one of the smaller ships that fly alongside it. I think either it's randomized or you're sent to whatever ship needs the augment you have... don't quote me on that, though.

I see, thank you. I'll move on to the next question, then- what's an augment?

Mm... I'm not sure exactly what it is, but if you feel the back of your head, you should find a weird lump under your skin. The people who brought us here put it there so that we inherently know about this place, and how to perform our jobs. It's pretty surreal.

[Surely to goodness you can feel that on your very real and fleshy head under that helmet, right Al?]

I hadn't noticed it yet- probably because waking up in a spaceship was plenty distracting. [Yup that was totally it.] We've barely even begun to look at the stars back home, so being among them was a big shock. It is weird, though. It feels... wrong, somehow, to just do that to us without our permission.

I didn't notice it at first, either. But it takes some getting used to, for sure.

And believe me, I've got a list of grievances to give to our gracious hosts when I'm able. I've had enough of people messing with me like this.

I'll bet. Nothing in my mind seems out of place, but I guess once I'm on a ship it'll be more noticeable.

So do they ever listen to our complaints? Or even communicate with us?

Since I got here, I haven't heard much out of them. They definitely aren't talking to me. But like I said, I haven't been here for long. You'd be better off asking a veteran.
