[At least two weeks have passed since the Drift Fleet passengers woke up on this strange wing of the Marsiva... Some new passengers have even joined the group instead of being Shuffled off to a fleet ship! The large monitor in the central room remains quiet for now, so how is everyone holding up?

Have you been relaxing? Enjoying the Earth media? If you can even remember them, how have Calibrations been treating you? Has anyone started getting a little stir-crazy?

Don't worry... This ship has no shortage of mysteries, and you'll be seeing a few more soon.]

[ Haruka laughs. ] It'd be nice if they let us.

[ Spoken like someone who has a plan? Haruka can't be sure, but with all eyes on them (even if the cameras turned out to be fake) she doesn't want to make Nightingale say anything. ] Optimist.

A dirty word, as far as I'm concerned.

[Which is well and good, as she doesn't seem to be sharing...]

[ There's one of those smiles that she really should be saving for her partner. Still hasn't slowed down on this treadmill, either. ]

Hey, careful. What would your wife say if she heard that?

I'm not married. [ She's been letting that one slide, but nah. What she and Michiru have is something far less pedestrian than that. Clearly.

Besides, this way she gets to keep smiling. ]

Your friend with benefits, then.

[She says it so perfectly straight-faced, too. She doesn't actually know what kind of relationship those two have, honestly. She just wants to see this guy lose "his" composure for once.]

[ Haruka doesn't break composure for that - she laughs, actually - but she does drop the subject. Still a no for this from Nightingale. Got it.

After a pause, she changes the subject. ] Have you been enjoying the kitchen?

[experiencepoints]

[Damn it. One day, she'll get this. For now, she'll accept the subject change.]

It's surprisingly nice, but way too crowded.

Everybody's got the same idea...

[ Which makes her wonder about supplies - if they were able to stock decent (or closer-to-decent) food before, why didn't they - for about two seconds before dismissing that train of thought as unhelpful. ] I like the coffee.

[ Says the person on the treadmill. But she doesn't look wired. ]

You might be able to get coffee back on the normal ships, you know.

[She thinks she saw that, anyway, but she's been avoiding the Bishop's kitchen...]

[ Haruka gives this the same amount of casual contemplation that she'd given their ultimate destinies as pawns in a greater scheme. ] Sugar, too?

[ The cubes, mind you. What are those little paper packets, she doesn't even. ]

Maybe? I know there's spices, but... Not really the same thing.

[Best not to think about it, really.]

I'll have to go exploring. [ Assuming their Fierce Attack Chef lets her. He's quite formidable! ]

Will do. [ Haruka remembers she's running on a machine and checks the display. What does any of this even mean, anyway. It's not emitting smoke, so everything's got to be fine, right? ]

... You have a lot of stamina, huh?

[Nightingale's role in the party is basically stationary artillery. She does huge damage, but she isn't as mobile as other classes. She's watching Haruka's nonchalant running with some low-key awe, really, because moving that fast and keeping it up is something she could never do.]

[actsmagnificent]

[ Eh, she's got no point of comparison but herself, so whatever. Haruka shrugs in mid-step and looks at the wall in front of her almost dreamily, picturing scenery far preferable to what's actually there. ] I've just always run. That's all.

[experiencepoints]

It must be useful to be able to run like that, huh.

[She's sort of falling back on old habits, and looking at every talent as to how it can be used in battle...]

[ ....Now that they're talking about it, the novelty is wearing off, and Haruka's realizing just how unsatisfying it is to use a treadmill, after all. She knows better than to just step off after a run like that, so she presses a few buttons to get the treadmill to gradually slow down. ] Well, I'm never late.

What's your specialty? [ Everybody has something they're proud of, right? Haruka has a few guesses from prior interactions, but far be it from her to put words in Nightingale's mouth. ]

Offense. Elemental magic, status effects, and coming up with strategies.

You after a demonstration?

[actsmagnificent]

Maybe eventually. [ Bringing too many people when she and Michiru try and take out Atroma sounds like a liability waiting to happen. Yes, this makes no sense if you stand back and consider it, but it is her way. ]

[experiencepoints]

Ah. Well, I came here to practice, so you might have to deal with getting it now anyway.

[She makes a motion like she's grabbing something, then pauses, looking disgruntled. She's so mad her staff is gone.]

Then I'll stick around. [ Who'd leave after a lead-in like that?

The treadmill slows to a stop. Haruka stretches, getting ready to hop off. ] Where should I stand?
