Who: Sokka and you!
Broadcast: Private to the SS Blue Fish
Action: Snow planet - open to all
When: Today
[NETWORK - VIDEO; SS BLUE FISH ONLY]
[Sokka has already found himself the correct winter wear for this planet. It's nothing like his traditional Southern Water Tribe getup, but they'll do the job. He smiles at the camera, waving the spear he's managed to make for himself.]
Hey guys! I know not everyone's big on the eternal winter planet, but I grew up in the South Pole, so this is the sort of place I'm used to. Anyway, I figured I'd head out and get us some food. Fish, try and get a couple elk and stuff. I've been working on an ice box in the cargo hold, so we should be able to keep it fresh for a while, too. Anyone's welcome to join me, but if you don't feel like it, don't worry, I'll make sure there's plenty of food to go round for all of us.
[He's not even trying to be a decent captain, really. After providing for his tribe for so much of his life, and team Avatar after that, this sort of thing is natural to him. He grins, giving the camera a gloved thumbs up.]
We'll be feasting tonight, guys! WOOOO!
[ACTION;]
[Sokka can be found by anyone who's braving the wintery planet. Perhaps you'll catch him in the habited areas, haggling with a couple natives on some hunting gear. Or perhaps you'll find him stalking through the tundras, hunting the animals who are, indeed adorable, but are also made of delicious meat.
One of the few times you'll find him sitting quietly are when he's sat himself on a frozen patch of water, ice fishing. But be quiet or you'll scare the food.]

I'm used to traveling through it, but...not much hunting, no.

[He smiles a little. Maybe he doesn't buy it entirely you bragger, but he doesn't write it off either.]
Alright. Then I'd be happy to learn, Captain!
no subject
[Cheerfully!]
Great! I can wait for you outside.
no subject
Alright! I won't be long.
[And he's heading off to get some winter gear]

Hey, Sokka.
[it might be helpful to note that her snow clothes look way comfier and more fashionable than the ones everyone else got. they've got cute little spiders on them. C:]

Hey, how're you liking the snow?

[He hasn't done that since he was tiny. Of course, when you're surrounded by it all your life, it loses its charm.]
Aww, come on, it isn;t that cold.
[Yes. Yes it is.]

[she creeps closer to the edge of the frozen lake... to try and see if there's anything down the hole he's cut for his fishing line...]
And yes. I made a snowman. His name is Rasputin.

[There doesn't seem to be anything, bar from a flicker of silver, now and again.]
Wow, you even named it.

action; can they go ice fishing together
She catches a glipse of Sokka fishing and veers over to check things out. In winter training, all recruits did this sort of stuff, but it's been years. She takes a few minutes to watch and then calls out.]
Are they biting?
yesyes they can
Yeah. I mean, it's nothing amazing, but I'm getting something. [He nods to the bucket beside him.] Trying to get my crew fed for a while, y'know?
no subject
[She comes over to take a look in the bucket, and study Sokka a little too. Interesting... there isn't much racial variance amongst people inside the walls, so it's not common to see someone with brown skin. But such bright blue eyes.]
Mind if I join you, kiddo?
no subject
[Welcome to the adorable look of the Water Tribe, Zoe. He grins and pats the ice beside him.]
Sure, pull up some ice.
no subject
[You know, she will come and sit. Her body heat starts to melt a bit of the top layer of ice already, and cold water soaks into her pants, but she can ignore that for now.]
What's your name, kid?
no subject
[He frowns at the comment, once is allowed, twice, nope.]
I'm not a kid, y'know. In my tribe, I'm a man. [All sixteen years of him.] I'm Sokka.

he might hear a screech not too far away from where he's haggling, and should he investigate, you'll see her spotting a penguin off in the distance.
it starts to toddle away... ]
Ahh, wait! Mr. Penguin, wait!
[ priorities. she's starting to run after it. ]
