Hmmm... I think it could be fun, yeah. I've never written a play before, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

Oooh, cool! I'm famous back home too. They did a cartoon and action figures and shit, and I got to do my own voice, so that was super cool. It's fun, isn't it? What are your action figures like? Do they karate chop? Have a built in taser? An awesome sword?

I bet you can! You're super smart, and a really good writer. [She is totally sincere.]

THAT- IS SO- COOL! [And Castle, too, sounds like he means it.] Man, I only wish I had my own action figures... I'm just the writer, though, so people tend to focus on my characters rather than me. I have had my books made into movies a few times, though.

Just a writer? But you write things! You make things! That's so neat. That's what everyone tells me about painting, and writers are even cooler cause you make stories, right? They should make action figures for you. That like. Shoot laser beams. Of writer power!

Oh, we look the best together. And believe me, I consider myself so lucky to have her- my first two marriages didn't end up working out, but I'm pretty sure she's the one.

Oooh, two marriages? Were they just like temp contracts or the really messy kind? I've heard about those. They sound scary.

The first one ended when she had an affair, moved to Malibu and served me with divorce papers, but the second one was more amicable. She's my publisher, so we still get along fairly well. And the first one resulted in my daughter, so it wasn't 100% bad.

Oh man, that sounds rough. Sorry. But glad you had a kid! Since I know you have to like... do it like that back when you're from, right?

It's just better to stay friends with everyone. I'm sad when that doesn't happen.

And Alexis turned out to be a great kid despite everything- her mother willingly signed over custody, so I raised her pretty much by myself. We've been close since she was little, though she's in college now and it's a bit hard for me to accept that she's a grownup.

Mmhmm, and it can make things awkward if you still have to have a relationship with that person.

Oh, that's really good that you didn't fight over your daughter. I hear stuff like that really fucks up kids bad, so lucky for both of you!

I've managed that okay with my one boyfriend, but things were stupid and awkward because I'm super bad at relationship stuff anyway. So good luck to you, I'm never trying that stuff again!

Thank you. I'm really looking forward to marrying Kate, but I'm nervous, too. I hope it'll end up working out for us, or else I might end up not wanting to try again, either. It can take its toll after a few failures.

You should make sure to have a really good cake at your wedding. Because then even if shit goes bad, you had some really awesome cake.
