[So she hasn't actually used these to make an announcement of her own since she first got here.  She doesn't think Luffy even knew many people, he wasn't here long enough, but.  You know.  Just in case.

Besides she has another question which she's just gonna focus on.]

If anyone met Luffy, I'm pretty sure he's gone home, or... wherever people go when they vanish.  I guess he didn't meet with approval or something.   [So flat.  To be honest, if she was sure he was going home instead of back to wherever he'd been stuck, she'd just be relieved.  But there's nothing she can do about it either way.]

He left me a gift, though.  Ah.  [She holds up her palm and opens it to show a small scattering of seeds.]  I grew up on an orchard back home, and these are... well.  They're from my favourite fruit.  So I'd like to grow it, but that's really kind of difficult in space.  You need a lot of soil for a mikan tree to grow in, y'know?  So if anyone has any advice or shortcuts or magical interventions, let me know.  I can try a few different ways.  Asteffiel, I don't... can you work from seeds?  So that's one option.

I don't even know if I'll be here long enough to watch them grow, but it'll give me something to do.

[If anyone wants to hit her up on the Bloodsport, she's just lurking in her room and feeling sorry for herself.  For like a few hours.  Then she'll just say hell with it and go shopping - she takes the distraction option and hit up the nearby waystation.  She hasn't had a chance to shop yet, and it's great therapy.  Besides, she can think of at least one idiot who could use some new clothes.]

We could try to set something up in the garden on the Iskaulit. We've already replanted some cactuses and stuff in there, and it'd be good to get something more edible going.

It's pretty recent. We've mostly been working on getting everything set up so the water flows correctly and all that.

We might need to wait until a stop where we can get a little more dirt, though, depending on how much soil you need.

Like Ino said, her and Beverly are making a garden on the Iskaulit. If any ship had room to grow a tree, it'd be that one.

It's a pretty small tree. They usually only grow up to six, maybe seven feet. The fruit's delicious. Ever tried it?

They're citrus fruit, and sweet. Do you have oranges where you come from? A little like those.

Right when I show up, too. I'd joke about being spared from his high energy, but...

[He gives a slight smile. They're on the same page, probably — used to people vanishing, shifting around. Luffy's likely back home or in another world, and while it fucking sucks (a lot), there's not much they can do but have faith that the weirdo'll be okay on his own. He's pretty capable, anyway.]

People go home all the time in places like this. It's just a fact. I think they're better off not here.

[For the most part, Steve's kept to himself. He doesn't go out of his way to eschew company, but he's certainly a private man and while his day-to-day interactions are polite, they're also truncated.

He'd never spoken with Luffy, but grief is universal. So he shows up at her door with a slice of pie (which she can probably smell - it's fresh) and knocks gently at her door after that transmission.]

[The knock on the door doesn't surprise her so much. The fresh baked smell that accompanies it, on the other hand... Nami swings her legs down from the bunk, shaking the seeds back into their little satchel.]

Door's open. You're welcome in. [She pauses a beat, then adds more cheerfully:] 'specially if that cooking's for me.
