[Coil has been having a very bad week, all involving things that he can't (or isn't allowed to) take out his quietly-simmering aggression on. so... when he actually has something he can focus his anger on, he does it in an instant.

by the way his eye narrows and his weight subtly shifts on his feet, Coil doesn't seem to be taking the apology very well.

...he he actually looks like he's about to bolt after his attacker or lob something at him, actually. poised to retaliate.

Lloyd probably has two seconds.]

[ oh crap. he knows that stance very well. ]

I, uhh... I can pick that up for you.

[Coil declines that offer... by suddenly bolting in Lloyd's direction, bobbing down to scoop up a handful of icy street-snow along the way.

he's fast, too.

Lloyd is certainly going to try to avoid his wrath (with a rather pathetic yelp) by kicking his reflexes into high gear and BOLTING. he slides on the snow a little when he first tries to run, but otherwise, he's pretty fast too.

you know, those ribbon things on his coat could be useful for something... ]

[oh, well... look at those ribbons.

Coil isn't quite close enough to nab one of those handy things yet, but he's working on it. his first plan is to take out his immediate wrath on the other guy and maybe slow him down by whipping that snowball at him as hard as he can!!



...which means that a snowball is powerfully lobbed... clean over Lloyd's shoulder. it doesn't even come close to hitting him.

Whoa--!

[ even if it missed him by a long shot, Lloyd still stumbles a little when he notices the snowball whizzing past him-- it's enough for him to slow down a smidge for a brief second. he manages to pick the speed back up, looking behind him.

oh god please don't tell him the kid is ganging up on him. ]

['sorry' apparently doesn't mean much to this kid. at least not when he's already this mad. and he sure is catching up--it's almost as if this kid chases and hunts people down on foot for a living or something. hmm! funny how that works.

and one stumble that puts Lloyd's path just a little askew is all he needs. Coil dodges around to cut the angle short and makes a lunge for his little trailing ribbons.

if he gets them, he will do his best to root himself, throwing his weight low and hanging on so that his prey will hopefully... swing around and land face-first in the snow.]

[ it's a success. he jerks the moment his escape is hindered by the kid grabbing his ribbons, twisting and falling into the snow face-first. there aren't any immediate movements beyond his feet flopping almost comically into the snow, though there is a groan that can be barely heard from the powder.

why him. ]

[luckily, Coil bites back his first instinct... which is to roll right into strangling the other guy with his own ribbons. no, no. that wouldn't do. ...especially when there are so many witnesses.

BUT he does walk over and boot some snow onto the back of Lloyd's head though.
