he changes course and heads her way instead, totally perplexed as he peers at the lump of snow that she's building.]

[Before he can make a decision, however, he's crashed into and stumbles forward with an oof sound. Catching himself before he pitches to the ground, he turns in time to see a young girl with very pink hair stagger backward from the impact. He makes a bit of a face, then straightens up and arches his back, hands on his hips.]
You should watch where you're going, kid, you'll put your eye out or something.

and hey. more money's a good plus. he settles his hand on the hilt of one of his swords, turning his eyes in Kaneis's general direction. ]I didn't think it'd be that easy to get some swords again.
[ not that he's complaining because wow he sure did miss the feeling of having swords on his hips. engineering's cool and all but it doesn't beat fighting. ]

you got a snowball to the head. the only evidence to the perpetrator? some loser teenager in red (because he's already covered from head to toe) that's either A: trying to find a place to hide while laughing like a maniac, or B: frozen in place like a deer in headlights because he totally didn't mean to hit you he meant to hit the guy next to you. ]

[But it was nice to be armed again. He had to admit that. And idea of getting to fight something that wasn't crewmates was appealing ]
Yeah, pretty sure the guy thought we were nuts for not wanting a gun to take on bears though.
[But whatever. Like they're gonna complain that much about how the bears invading their mine was going to go down.]

either way, the snowball's victim stumbles on the ice when he's hit... and loses his grip on the bag of groceries he'd been carrying. jars and boxes hit the snow, making an unfortunate mess.

She's walking along with a bit of a spring in her step when a snowball clips her on the side of her face.]
Hey!
[She's's wearing a hoodie, but it still finds a mark since it comes at her from the side.
Ah, it's cold and slips down her clothes a little and she makes a small noise.
She wipes it off before laying eyes on her aggressor and wastes no time in chasing after him when she recognises him.]
Lloyd, I see you! You're like a big red dot in the middle of a page of paper!

[Someone is outside the Bloodsport's landing area (with other ships around too, actually)... slowly and with an expression of deep concentration, rolling up a snowball to start making a snowman.
There are some other snowmen around too, but most of them are quite small. Most of them are only two hands high. And none of them have any features or arms. They're just like little snowman ghosts all standing in a snowman ghost crowd. It looks like this one, which Rin is preparing with silent sloe-eyed concentration, will be the biggest yet.]
option 2
[A planet is a great time to explore and Rin kind of loves to quietly roam and sightsee. This time, sightseeing has offered her the sight of... some stray Arctic foxes. She brought some chicken-flavored protein to try and coax them to her, so she can be found crouched in front of the snow-filled alley, bare hand outstretched to offer a pinched-off chunk of protein.]
C'mere... c'mere... [it's almost a bare whisper, and actually, it's working a little... the foxes are exposed to enough people that one of them approaches when Rin gives up on handfeeding them and sets the protein chunk down on the snow.
Their pickings must be a little shitty if they're scrounging protein blocks, but food is food, right?]
option 3
[A frozen river flows through town. Someone found it and then realized she had enough money to rent ice skates.
Now she's trying her luck on the river ice. >:T Very intently! But she's kind of shitty at it. It keeps looking like she gets it and then she slips out of control and goes plunging into the snowbanks on the side of the river. But it makes her laugh then, sudden and bright even if quickly stifled, under the grey sky. She's pink-faced and rosy and has strands of hair escaping in every direction, and no hat, but she seems cheerful.]
option 1
that skull-faced guy from weeks earlier seems to have bumped into one of her little featureless snowmen. it's kind of half-decapitated. he's looking around at all the little snow-ghosts in confusion, either not aware or not acknowledging that Rin is right there too.
while he has a full face of skull makeup, he also has a dumb grey scarf wrapped very loosely around the lower half of his face... no sweater, though.]

He sees the girl-- possibly a native, possibly not-- cooing to the foxes, and stops quite a few feet from her. A large grey-skinned man, you'd think he'd stand out-- but somehow not even the foxes notice him, as his presence fades into the background. He watches her for a long while, watching her progress, before taking a deliberately loud step forward.
The foxes simply stare up at him, unimpressed. It takes far more than that to startle them.]
Do they have a name, do you know?

[Spurred on by Sokka and the possibility of changing their diet up a bit, Hange goes ice-fishing just about every day. For hours at a time she just perches there on her ass next to that hole in the ice, freezing cold dangling a hook down into the dark hole in the water. This is a pain... but they're going to have so much fish. So much fish by the time they leave this place. And that's going to be great. So it's completely worthless.
She looks like a jackdaw hunched there, all bundled up next to the little cut of open water.]
option 2
[Someone, her name perhaps starting with H and ending with E (or starting with Z and ending with E depending on whether you take her name or surname) casually made off with Zhas' gun. To go for a walk deeper into the snowy wilds...
She whistles as she goes, the sound muffled by the snow. Occasionally she can be heard singing, snatches of long ditties about scouts being captured by titans and ripped apart, heroic sacrifice and blood, etc etc. And then between that there's long bouts of silence where she simply rests her voice and listens to the snowy world.
Really, it wouldn't upset her to encounter a bear to try this thing on. Maybe they could use the pelt. They could certainly eat the meat, or trade it.
Ditties, though... she's contralto, untrained but not completely awful.]
- ohhhh green wings of liberty, under open sky, scouts they fly on stolen wings and live on borrowed time...
option 2!
so, when she happens upon Tek--still dressed in his usual and absolutely not suited for this weather--it's rather out of nowhere.
just standing tall and straight and watching for when she comes into view. she has announced her presence very well, after all.]

You come here often. Have you caught much?
[ Probably not as bundled up as Hange, since she isn't outside as much and she's used to colder climates. It does make her look younger, though, like a child who's been playing in the snow. ]

general action, come at me
Henry is from a desert country.
THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER.
Which is to say that he's basically like a puppy experiencing its first snow day. Running around, probably jumping into snowdrifts, and just generally enjoying this shit. Maybe he should have a bit more dignity as a captain?
Nah.
It doesn't take long before he's soaked and/or covered in snow, and despite the fact that he's not exactly dressed for the weather, he's having a pretty good time!
And if he ruins yours (or makes it better) by accidentally getting in your path or personal space or anything during this...well. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. ]
aw yes
[someone with a quiet voice is trying to get his attention! though she's also laughing in-between attempts because this is hilarious. Krista's all bundled up in clothes and mittens that are way nicer and comfier looking than the things the ship gave them, which is kind of weird.]

[Milla has decided to take a stab at it: literally. She talked to a local who explained that it is possible to fish with a spear if she really wants to and so she has taken up a spear, positioning herself over the ice and is stabbing occasionally into the water.]
Oooh, just you wait! This will be the best fish stew ever!
B) [Shopping!]
[It seems that Milla is still very new on how everything around here works. Take for example her attempt at bartering, using the spear from earlier.]
Look, just one spice rack. That's worth this very fine, well-crafted spear! [That isn't hers but whatever. Details.] Oh and some meat? Maybe some eggs. At least some noodles and a spice rack.
C) [Pets!]
[And in case you thought she was just grumpy all the time, fear not. There is a stray fox sniffing around and Milla is only too eager to try to get its attention.]
Hey there! I bet you're really hungry, you poor thing. If you follow me, I'll give you super yummy treats.

[And so he can be found often in the cities. Sometimes he's shopping for supplies, sometimes he's reading job boards trying to find some mercenary work to pass the time and sometimes he's simply exploring. He's lucky that he showed up to the fleet wearing the coat he had in Exsilium, so he can forgo the destructive sweaters. But the bright red braid is pretty unmistakable even in the winter clothing.]
[He is also taking care to stay far, far away from any snowmen. If you watch him enough, he almost seems to be taking long detours just to avoid any he comes across. Pretty weird man]
flings self at
[Okay, so maybe walking onto Snow Planet with little else than his usual jacket and jeans was probably not the best idea. But he hadn't felt very great being on a spaceship (it reminded him too much of that world change) and he figured he could buy something while he was out here.
Well, if he could find where he could exchange the currency. He'd already went in and they said his money was no good until he got it converted... So now his arms are wrapped tight around him, his nose red as he shivers.]
Sh-sh-should have asked someone on the sh-ship...
[He looks up with an upset frown, but stops when he sees startlingly familiar stopsign-red hair.
