[he glances up just long enough to be surprised that she's there, before his eyes are down on the little snow totems again]

...Where did they come from??

[Seriously? She tilts her head at him and mulls it over... but just for a second or two.]

They were just here when I got here.

[SHE WAS OBVIOUSLY ROLLING A SNOWBALL.]

I think this snow might be... alive.

What... really??

[he doesn't spend the time to be suspicious. he's immediately looking down at his feet, taking a step or two backward and picking up one foot since he lacks the ability to pick them both up at the same time and hover.

maybe he trusts her too much to doubt her. ...maybe he's just really gullible.]

[She leaves off the snow she was... obviously wadding up, Nel, please... and stalks towards him, holding her hands out and wiggling her fingers. OoooOOOOooooooooh.]

I heard somebody saying... if you go out in the woods... and you listen very quietly... you can hear the snow whispering.

[as someone who is... already kind of terrified of sentient forests, this visibly chills him to the bone.]

[staring down at the snowmen again, totally missing the point here]

[She cannot believe that he asked that question so she actually laughs, before she bites it off. Her busting out in giggles wo uld have to give things away, right?]

[the giggling is obviously very confusing, and he's at least latching onto the fact that he's missing something big and important here. he's just looking at her now, wheels spinning uselessly in his head.]

[And she leans down and starts wadding up a ball of it. Still grinning a little. Aww, he's so clueless... she feels a little bad too...]

[he has come into this encounter completely unarmed.]

[She stands up, completed snowball packed, and takes a step towards him, raising her arm to throw it!]

[as much as he didn't understand what she was doing in the snow before, and all the tall tales, he is just as bewildered as to why she's suddenly threatening to throw something at him.

he just... startles and flinches, pitifully throwing up his arms to shield his face. and that's about it.]

[The snow wasn't packed hard, so it just bursts when it hits him. Ploof! Soft whiteness everywhere. Rin starts laughing.]

[not that it really bothers him that much more than being underdressed for standing around in the snow already is. it's probably more the laughing that gets him.]
