[the foxes startle a little as there's a sudden gasp from behind Rin...!

but this teenage-looking person can only whisper, and her aura is pretty comforting to animals anyway--so they don't stay spooked for long.]

Oh my god, are those foxes...?

[She tenses slightly as the foxes skirt - and then relaxes as the one she was coaxing regains its courage and snatches the mouthful from in front of her.

While the fox is eating, she twists to see who approached her. Ah, another girl...]

They sure are. It seems they're pretty tame, too... they're pretty cute, right?

They're so cute... Oh my god...

[she shrinks down a little--shrugging into her own bony shoulders.]

Have you been feeding them?

I just started... [She folds her arms and rests her elbows on her knees in a crouch.]

They're not that shy... I guess they live too close to people for that.

Oh, like raccoons. Or deer. Or the entire stray cat population of Rome.

[she crouches down, still a little ways behind Rin... because she wants to watch.]

[The fox watches her with clever little black eyes, ears turned forward, but doesn't pause in wolfing down the protein. Rin doesn't reach to touch it. They're not quite there yet. But she does glance curiously back at Krista.]

I guess... so? Most of the deer I've met are skittish...

[The fox snaps up the last bit and starts to sidle off. Rin waits a moment longer and then levers herself to her feet with a little grunt.]

I wonder if some people trap them.

Sometimes deer will just walk up to people's gardens, where I'm from. Like, if they live near cities and stuff. They just don't give a fuck anymore.

[she watches Rin stand, but stays crouched.]

Um... Trap them for furs, and stuff?
