[It's her first time on the network since she got here months ago.  She's not much for being sociable, but hey.  Makie has a couple of needs to be met.]

I'm looking to hire a seamstress.  If you have experience with Japanese attire, that would be better, but I can provide my own clothing for reference.  [She's from the 18th century and there's a distinct dearth of kimono out here in the middle of space, okay.  Her one outfit can only go so far and it's already had to survive one dimensional hellhole.]

I'm also curious as to whether there are any swordsmiths or equivalent among us.  If so, I'd like to discuss a commission.

[Speaking of said kimono, it's washing day.  She's clad only in the patterned red hiyoku usually worn under her purple kimono, and while she washes it in the privacy of the bathroom by hand, she can be found hanging it out to try in the cargo bay.  It's not as voluminous as some as her sleeves are kept very short, but it's nice to have the extra space.  Makie will stay nearby, looking hopefully for any answers on the network and drinking her tea.  As always.]

[ In her broadcast, Kara is in her PJs, hair down and glasses off. She looks like she just woke up not too long ago and the overall vibe is very "confessional vlog". She doesn't seem distressed, just a little confused, and tired—though her eternal optimism is always there somewhere. ]

Hey, so, question: On a scale from "wow that's super weird we've never heard of something like that" to "it must be a Wednesday on the Fleet", how common is it to just like, get a bunch of "new" information from home? Which, now that I think about it, is kind of a dumb thing to ask because we have implants that give us job skills training. But I'm just wondering. Uh, in the abstract? Something like that.

Anyway, I'm going to go get some coffee and food because I'm starving. Who knew that sleeping was such hard work?

[Well, that sure was a thing. Luckily there were quite a few nice, friendly faces to help Pinkie out with that initial panic, even a familiar one she hadn't seen in a while.

That took up a good bit of her time, but after wandering around and looking at all the new shiny stuff, trying (and failing) to test that augment thing of hers on the few maintenance bots milling about, sampling the cafeteria's salad and dessert menus (hey, apparently synthetic Black Forest cake's not TOO bad), and harmonizing with the muzak, the poor thing was running out of stuff to do, and there's no one to talk to. Frankly, she was starting to get a little bored.

She flops against the table with a sigh.]

Hope I'm not here TOO long; it's kinda lonely...

[Sounds like somebody heard her, because soon there's a robotic voice announcing that she report to the SS Caprine. Soon followed by a REALLY weird tingly feeling throughout her whole body.]

Whoa, wha wha WHAAAA--

[And ENERGIZE! A second or two more, and she plops back into reality.]

--AAA oh hey it's over!
