Who: Selina Kyle & whoever's on the Caprine
Broadcast: Not this time
Action: Around the Caprine
When: Backdated to Oct 30th

[ to say this whole thing has been a little disorientating would be an understatement. she was pushed out of a window and then woke up on a space ship. only to then be whisked away to another ship in a flurry of confetti and chocolate pudding (some of which she had since taken and hidden away in her room). her first few days aboard the ship were spent mostly in her room, much to her own annoyance. she'd been still feeling a little off from the fall.

part of that off feeling is that she's not entirely sure this is real. hallucination from a head injury? maybe she's dead? whatever it is, seems like the only real option for now is to roll with it.

so now that selina's back on her feet she's taken to looking about the ship. quietly making her way to the kitchen where she looks through the choice of foods, seeing what she can easily slip into her jacket. given what she's been seeing on the comm device of what seems to be happening on the planet they're near, she's going to be prepared. just in case.

when not in the kitchen, she can be found in the armoury (where she's stuffing a sidearm into her jacket, not knowing that being a crew member aboard the ship means she's entitled to one), in the cargo hold, taking out her aggression on the punching bag, or just wandering the rest of the ship, checking out all of its nooks and crannies

Who: Kaname, Freyja, and YOU
Broadcast: Yep!
Action: Sure, if they're by the Bloodsport wreckage on the hellplanet.
When: The 1st

[When the video opens, Kaname and Freyja are both visible, sitting next to each other and they look kinda scratched up and generally not in the best of shape (though not really terribly off, either.) Freyja waves energetically at everyone before actually saying something.]

Hoina! Eheh, so, Kaname-san and I wanna let everyone know somethin' we found out 'cause it could be useful, especially if you're down here.

[Kaname nods, a small smile on her face.] The short version is we're singers back home, and our voices can have an effect on different things. We weren't sure how that would play out here at first, but we've found they do work against the Vieziri. When confronted, they're stalled or severely slowed. Right now, we don't have an estimate on how long it holds them for, but it's likely it would be enough time to gain some distance if it came to that.

[And then Freyja interjects again, with another wave at the camera.] Soooooooo, if you need any help, you should ask! 'Cause we might be able to do somethin' about it, especially if the Vieziri keep comin' after you. We'll do our best to help anyone that needs it.

[And she looks thoughtful for a second.] Ehh... there was somethin' else too, wasn't there?

[The older singer chuckles and pats her shoulder.] Additionally, it's stronger with the two of us together, since we amplify each other's voices, even if one of us will do in a pinch. Please don't hesitate to ask if you'd like some company on a scavenging trip. Please note, we're no substitute for anyone with actual combat skills, so do be safe in that regard as well.

And yes, there is.
[Kaname can't help but shake her head a little in amusement.] Once everything here is taken care and we're back in orbit, we'd like to consult with an engineer about hopefully building us some equipment similar to what we use back home. You will be compensated for your time, of course.

Mmhm! We can describe it and everything if that's what you're gonna need. It can wait, but we wanted to ask anyway just in case! It'd help us protect ourselves if we ever had to go in a fight. [So with that, Freyja shrugs. That mostly covers what they needed to say right now.] Sooo, just let us know, okay? We're listenin', promise! [And then, in true Walkure fashion, she throws the Walkure gangsign.]

[There's a final nod from Kaname and an accompanying W before she leans forward to turn off the camera.]

[Zhade is at it again. Like before, their form is difficult to discern. There’s a lot of black cloth and the same strangely featureless mask, as well as some fairly beat-up looking armor. Of note is the gaping cleft in the right side of the chestpiece, which also extends to the shoulder. Dried blood can be seen on the mask as well.]

Hello again! [Despite the enthusiasm, Zhade’s voice is tired and a touch rougher than it was before.] Is the signal better? It should be. Thanks to you, the communications tower is up and running. I hope you’ve all been surviving all right. I’ve noticed a certain decline in the amount of Vieziri recently, and I feel like you all might have something to do with it.

[Zhade straightens with something like a wince.]

It’s time to keep my end of the deal.

I’m going to send a list of coordinates to the people on the ground. The first few are the locations of shield generators-- those need to be dealt with first. Just blow them up, disable them, whatever you feel like. You’ll need to get those down so that you can get to the guns. Since you were able to boot up the comms tower, I have perfect faith in your ability to hack into the guns, too… but if you can’t, maybe some of your friends in orbit will be able to lend a hand.

[Zhade pauses for a moment, turning away from the camera so they can drain a canteen of its contents. Then the mask goes back on.] Ugh.

As for those still flying, I suggest you start locking things down now and make sure you’re in fighting condition. Get those weapons back online if you have them equipped, otherwise dig ‘em out of the hold. Word is that the Vieziri warlord will be bringing his ships through, and believe me, the boarding parties are ruthless. Hopefully they’ll want you alive. But then again, that might also be a bad thing. Just-- watch yourselves, all right? Don’t get caught. These rituals include human sacrifice, which is terrible enough as it is, but even worse is the thought that they might actually do something to wake up the planet. Prevention is key, here.

Once the shields are down, you’ll be able to fire on the Vieziri ships. Concentrate your fire on the warlord’s ship first… It’s this big red hunk of metal, hard to miss. Without his shields, there’s not much he can do except fire back at you. And because he’s so huge, he can’t really dodge.

That’s their main weakness, you see. The Vieziri are only as terrible as they are because they’re a bunch of tribes temporarily united under Jekara’s command. Cut the head off the snake and it’ll let go, or so the stories go… I’ve never been bitten by a snake. [Some awkward throat clearing.]

You’ve kept your word and now I’ve kept mine. I have nothing else to give you all save for my profound gratitude. Thanks to you, I have enough credits to start over far, far away from here… I thought about buying a farm, [Zhade says with a mirthless chuckle.] Not sure I’ll live to see it, though.

[Finally Zhade sits down, arms shaking as they brace themselves against the table. A delicately gloved black hand reaches up to grasp the edge of the mask, and gently tugs it off. Beneath the mask is a terribly marred face, burned beyond recognition, but Zhade has two purple-white eyes that are nonetheless clever and sharp. Next falls the hood, and silver hair pooling around Zhade’s shoulders, as well as two pointy reddish-purple ears. Zhade is one of the Vieziri-- born into it as one of the ruddy-skinned Dasioe cousins.]

I’ve been wanting to get off this thrice-damned rock for longer than I can remember. Once you’re Vieziri, you’re marked. They do this so that no matter where you go, people know that you’re one of them. Starting over isn’t so simple as just leaving and going somewhere else, unless that somewhere else happens to be a place that’s never heard of them. And that’s where you came in.

Since they’ve already found me, there’s no more need for deception. But I wanted to apologize regardless.

[Zhade’s eyes crinkle in something like a smile, briefly.]

I’m going to fight my way out once the shields go down. Assuming that everything goes to plan, you and yours should be able to save yourselves. If I don’t live long enough to see my freedom, at least I’ll have died trying! There’s a saying, something about the journey and not the destination... I've forgotten.

[Zhade tugs the mask on again.]

Good night, friends, and good luck.

[ooc: Please see the plot post for more information on Phase Two! Zhade will not be responding to messages here, so feel free to use it as a mingle/threadjack/whathaveyou. Thank you!]
