[On New Year's Day, the crew on board the Windrose and those nearby may notice the chill as the doors to the cargo bay are left open, and their captain making quite a bit of noise as she inspects their newly expanded home away from home. This is likely to go on for a while. Feel free to come investigate, chat among yourselves, complain about the cold, etc!]

A little from column A, a little from column B. Definitely organized things better now, but Officer Snuggles just fluffs things out wherever he goes.

[It will nrver not be weird, having people salute her. Even when she's in charge, it's not the kind of command that requires salutes. But it's instinct for Wrath, and Nat knows better than to argue the potential long-term benefits, especially for new crew members who may not yet recognize the chain of command. She smiles at the mention of the fox, watching him scratch one ear.]

Good. I was hoping am expansion didn't just mean slightly higher ceilings. You see there's room for two more on board, too?

Are the ceilings higher? I guess that's good for Vision.

I mean there was plenty of room before if people wanted to be really friendly, but there's so much space now! So I think so, definitely. Are we getting new crewmates?

Him and Castle both. And even Mihawk. I guess we're the only ones missing out on the fun of constant concussion. Although if you stand on my shoulders, maybe...

[She's only half-joking. It is kind of silly that Atroma just happens to keep stocking the Windrose with women under 5'5" and men (or androids) over 6'.]

New crew members? Maybe. We got one this morning, have you met her yet? Leia Organa, on communications.

Hey, it's not our fault that short people are the best. The tall people are just going to have to suck it up and keep driving.

Oh! I have! She's got such pretty hair. And knows about guns. Or blasters, but those sound like guns. So I think she's going to do great! [Obviously these are the priorities to have.]

Or just learn how to duck. But I think the expansion might have raised the ceilings, along with the new bunks, so I guess our days of raking in cash thanks to pratfalls are over.

[She's always happy to see Wrath's priorities are exactly what they should be.] Blasters are pretty much the same thing as what we've got in the armory. Structure's a little different, but the principle's the same.

Maybe we should consider expanding the armory, though. Looking for weapons that aren't Atroma-issued. What do you think?

Aw, well, I guess that'll make the boys less whiney though, so that's good. I bet Vision missed floating around anyway.

I think that's a great idea. The melee selection isn't great at all, and I think we need more of that. Also some less lethal stuff because that'd be safer to civvies to use shipboard.

Well, and I'm always looking for good guns. But I miss having a plasma blade. Can't beat one of those.
