Windrose, where the wind blows
Who: Windrose crew and you, distinguished visitors!
Broadcast: Naaah.
Action: Windrose, various points in the near vicinity
When: Until we get off this frozen rock
[On New Year's Day, the crew on board the Windrose and those nearby may notice the chill as the doors to the cargo bay are left open, and their captain making quite a bit of noise as she inspects their newly expanded home away from home. This is likely to go on for a while. Feel free to come investigate, chat among yourselves, complain about the cold, etc!]

Winter is relieved, though, to find that he doesn't have to do much more but step inside the ship to find her mucking about with a wall panel. He stops a far enough distance away so she won't be startled (as if she could ever allow someone to startle her) and clears his throat. ]

Wrath | OTA
She's also doing regular training sessions with Officer Snuggles, the Windrose's newest crewmember--a fox! He follows her around quite a bit, but he'll be happy to accompany any crew member to see what they'd doing--especially if he gets play and treats out of it.
Other than that, she's spending as much time outside as possible, enjoying being on a planet where she can see the sky. She does a lot of sketching when she's inside, huddled under a pile of blankets. Sit next to her so she can put her cold feet on you. But she'll share her hot chocolate!]
Armory, also Officer Snuggles
Looks good in here. Ship expansion give us extra storage, or did you just manage to rearrange the laws of physics with the Officer's help?

Castle | OTA
[That morning, Castle had woken up just a tad hung over. By his reckoning, it WAS the New Year, after all- and since he was alone, that meant getting drunk. He'd crashed in his hotel room, woken up with a splitting headache, and stumbled back to the Windrose, holding his head and not taking his sunglasses off even inside the ship.]
B.
[Later, when he finally felt better, Castle could be found puttering after his cleaning droids as usual. They were especially busy near the cargo bay door, sweeping up melted snow and other debris people were tracking in.]
Cameron, I think you're working yourself too hard.
B
You should really give them nametags. I don't want to offend our future robot overlords by getting their names wrong.

[Leia's transported onto the Windrose in a shower of confetti and music, and something that smells sweet but looks like more of the Fleet's usual mush. The entire welcome experience is a little bizarre and undignified to her, and it ends with her picking bits of coloured paper out of her hair.]
This is ridiculous.
[two]
[It might be ridiculous, but it's also home...at least for the moment. Leia starts by exploring--bunk, bridge, bathroom, and everything in between--and by stopping to chat with anyone she comes across.]
I understand we're shipmates. It's a pleasure to meet you.
[Quarters are too cramped to be anything but politic, at least to start.]
two.
[He gives her a polite smile anyway.]
My name's Souji Seta. I'm the cook on the Three Twins.
[He rubs the back of his neck, briefly.]
It is nice to meet you, though.

Misty Day | 1/10 and onwards
[Hello, Windrose, it's time for another obnoxious jingle and colorful shower of confetti. For her part, Misty rather seems to enjoy it, twirling amidst the falling bits of paper (with most of it getting trapped in her voluminous golden hair) and grinning. Then she sees the dessert, perched enticingly on top of one of the navigation consoles. Shrugging, she takes the chocolate "pudding" and eats while she tries to take in everything, her eyes wide with wonder.]
[b. Hydroponics!]
[If you missed your new crew mate on the bridge, it won't be long before she finds her way to Vision's garden set-up. It's not home, but it'll do in a pinch.
Oh yeah, and she's definitely singing to the plants and the fish as she watches them intently. Those of you from Earth might recognize the song, if they know Fleetwood Mac.]
no subject
But that's not this woman's fault, even if she's loopy enough to want to spin around in the cloud of paper, and Leia's polite enough in offering a hand as she comes over to her.]
You must be our new crew member. Welcome.

Makie - 18/1 onwards
[One moment she's just chilling on the Marsiva and now this. Makie stands there like a deer in headlights, blinking at the confetti raining down around her, one hand clutched around the neck of her shamisen and the other up to shield her face from flying bits of coloured paper. What the hell.]
[B - technology, how does it work]
[She's not very sociable, so apart from her greeting on the bridge, Makie mostly keeps to herself, unsure what she's even meant to do. But there's a problem with coming from 1782 and then spending a year in a ruined wasteland. She can be found staring blankly at any number of things. The showers, for one. The kitchen. She just wants some tea. Help. Please help.]
[C - her quarters]
[And it will plainly be obvious that she's not well. She'll be upfront with anyone who asks that she has a sickness of the lungs, because being in close quarters with so many people means she's taking precautions. But if you don't find out some other way, the violent coughing attacks coming from her room might do it. They're not often; the place is thankfully free of dust and she's healthier than she was before she arrived.
Or, on a less discordant note, she could just be playing her shamisen instead. She does that even less often, given she doesn't want to disturb people, but there's little else to do.]
b.
And maybe it is. Leia clears her throat as she comes up next to her.]
Welcome to the ship. We were lucky to get you.
[She's also here for a shower, as evidenced by the way her thick hair has been freed from the day's elaborate style and is now falling down her back.]
