Windrose, where the wind blows
Who: Windrose crew and you, distinguished visitors!
Broadcast: Naaah.
Action: Windrose, various points in the near vicinity
When: Until we get off this frozen rock
[On New Year's Day, the crew on board the Windrose and those nearby may notice the chill as the doors to the cargo bay are left open, and their captain making quite a bit of noise as she inspects their newly expanded home away from home. This is likely to go on for a while. Feel free to come investigate, chat among yourselves, complain about the cold, etc!]

Misty Day | 1/10 and onwards
[Hello, Windrose, it's time for another obnoxious jingle and colorful shower of confetti. For her part, Misty rather seems to enjoy it, twirling amidst the falling bits of paper (with most of it getting trapped in her voluminous golden hair) and grinning. Then she sees the dessert, perched enticingly on top of one of the navigation consoles. Shrugging, she takes the chocolate "pudding" and eats while she tries to take in everything, her eyes wide with wonder.]
[b. Hydroponics!]
[If you missed your new crew mate on the bridge, it won't be long before she finds her way to Vision's garden set-up. It's not home, but it'll do in a pinch.
Oh yeah, and she's definitely singing to the plants and the fish as she watches them intently. Those of you from Earth might recognize the song, if they know Fleetwood Mac.]

But that's not this woman's fault, even if she's loopy enough to want to spin around in the cloud of paper, and Leia's polite enough in offering a hand as she comes over to her.]
You must be our new crew member. Welcome.

I'm Misty. Pleased to meet you!

[She doesn't get anything in particular from the woman's aura or vibes, but Misty does has a pleasant enough smile--and handshake.]
What will you be doing on the Windrose?

[Potions for other things too but probably best not announce that just yet.]

We could use your skills. No one aboard has a medical augment, so the supplies are...limited. Even basic medicine would be an improvement.

[Pause.]
Not that I won't do my part, you see. I want this to be the best new home it can be. It's already got a lot better vibes than the place I come from.

[Sure, the Fleet ranks higher than Jabba's Palace for Leia, but she can't think of many other places in the galaxy that are less desirable than "trapped on ships in an unrecognizable stretch of space."]

It... there was no place for me there.
[Lord knows Cordelia tried to make one for her, but Misty's had enough time to think on the Marsiva to know she should have never agreed to stay with that Coven.]

You must be a new crewmate. I'm Natasha. Captain and pilot of the Windrose. You are?
no subject
Well you're just all business ain't ya?
[But she smiles anyway.]
My name's Misty Day.
no subject
Better to get the business out of the way early, isn't it? I mean, I could be wrong. Reality TV doesn't exactly do much for etiquette.

[She motions towards the beginnings of their little Windrose hydroponics bay.]

You coming to us from a swamp?

[Grin.]
Figured my accent would give it away.

Normal's not exactly the standard around here for any of us. Just ask Vision.
[You know, the super-tall red robot man. She smiles, a little wry.]
I try to keep things as regular as I can on board the ship here, space TV aside. There's no real duty roster. We all pitch in, take care of what needs to be taken care of. What's your station? They should have told you when you showed up on the Marsiva.
[She could dig through the fleet roster, but isn't this more polite?]

I'm supposed to be maintenance. Ain't too sure that was the brightest idea on Atroma's part, but I'll do my best. Castle's already showed me a few things.
Leia also said y'all needed a healer? That's what I really am, whatever the aliens say.
