Windrose, where the wind blows

Who: Windrose crew and you, distinguished visitors!
Broadcast: Naaah.
Action: Windrose, various points in the near vicinity
When: Until we get off this frozen rock

[On New Year's Day, the crew on board the Windrose and those nearby may notice the chill as the doors to the cargo bay are left open, and their captain making quite a bit of noise as she inspects their newly expanded home away from home. This is likely to go on for a while. Feel free to come investigate, chat among yourselves, complain about the cold, etc!]

[He is somewhat less squishy than she is, but still. What an experience!]

Was it seeking fertilizer, by chance?

It's possible it could have been lonely and wanted companionship, but I'm afraid it's difficult to tell without being there. [It depends on the planet's level of intelligence, really.

He does get the reference and smiles at it.]
The only new food plant I found is some mint, but there were several with medicinal uses that natives use to treat the colds. If we can have a sustainable way to produce medical supplies, the whole Fleet could benefit.

If only we had fresh lime. [Maybe he'll talk to Asteffiel about that, if he ever finds seeds for a citrus plant.]

I would hesitate to call the cold fun, but at least it was instructional. If nothing else, knowing there are diseases which can affect persons who have unusual immune systems is extremely good to know. I'd fully support the search for a medical officer.

[And he inclines his head.] Thank you. Perhaps we could build some shelving to make a vertical row or two, with either pots or hydroponics.
