[ Obi-Wan is no stranger to waking up to unknown locations, but this seemed odd . . . even for him. He gropes for his lightsaber . . . which is gone, obviously. He huffs, before straightening himself and brushing his hair back. Communications . . . communications . . . ah, there it is.

A video feed. Somewhat archaic, but it'll do. He doubts anyone from the Republic will be nearby, but perhaps the locals will offer some aid. Obi-Wan clears his throat before speaking. It's time for his other skill set to come in use. ]

Greetings. My name is General Kenobi. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? And I don't suppose there is someone willing to answer my questions? Because I have a great deal many of them.

[ He lifts his shoulders. ] Uh, here. Obviously.

I don't think it counts as "rescue" if you're stuck in the same place. And don't give me any "again" talk, I've always had to rescue you.

If we're keeping score, I'm still in the lead.

No, you're on the Marsiva. I've been assigned as the pilot on a junkheap called Paisley. You'll be likewise assigned to a ship soon. It's not the Open Circle but it's not too bad, it'd almost feel luxurious if I had some canons on this thing.

Oh, and don't try to pick open the panels. I've tried.

[ He quirks an eyebrow at that, picturing just how much Anakin tried to attempt wanton destruction on the ship before he was forced to give up. ]

I assume the Paisley is still in one piece then.

[ somehow ]

[ He shifts in his seat, propping his feet up on the dash. ] Well. I'm in it. It's still floating. With life support and everything.

[ His grin turns to a small smile. He pushes a warm feeling, familiar connection through the Force. He doesn't do this with Obi-Wan often, knowing his Master's more reserved ways, but it's a good stand in for a hard grip on the shoulders. ]

Hey, I'm just glad to see you. That means you don't have a chance at rescuing me but [ He shrugs again, dismissively. ] I've been told it could be worst.

It's a miracle.

[ They don't do this often. They're usually not so far apart, but even Obi-Wan can indulge. He sends back a faint thread of assurance. ]

Let's not invite the worst, then. But we'll find a way. We always do.

No, it's just me.

[ No battle in the horizon, no war looming. He can't help the cocky grin that comes. It's been a long time since he felt like he could do this. ]

Alright, you got any questions for me?

[ He has a bad feeling about this, making him anxious. But he does feel the need to ... share, subconsciously. ]

Just the one.

[ He allows a small pause, as his expression softens. ]

Are you all right?

[ He softens, almost looks embarrassed at the question. ]

A little rattled. Nothing I can't handle.

[ A sigh now, as he pinches the bridge of his nose ]

There are some...things here that I didn't expect. People I didn't expect to see. You know Ahsoka's here?

Yes. And she said there are time travelers here, people from our future.

[ And some of those people clearly got to Anakin, in some way. Not all of this can be attributed to Ahsoka. ]

She seems to be doing well. Which is enough for me.

[ My future, he wants to correct. But he doesn't. He press his mouth into a thin line for a moment and nods, stalling. ]

We had an argument the day I arrived. [ He holds up a hand ] Now before you lecture me about it, I apologized after. I know I was in the wrong. But she is still very angry with the Order. And I don't blame her. I just feel that the Jedi beliefs would constantly go against hers when or if it gets mentioned.

[ Is that so? Ahsoka never had trouble with Jedi beliefs. Is this something Anakin believes because he's not willing to entertain other possibilities? ]

She has a right to be angry. Though, it does not seem to me that she's holding that anger very closely.

No, maybe not now.

[ His mouth twists, a sudden wariness takes on. He has to tread carefully now. ]

She's coming to me with- She has questions about the Order and the Code that I don't have the answer for and I'm [ Afraid, but he's the hero with no fear, he shouldn't be afraid, right? ] ... worried that all I do is push her further away with my answers.

[ He sighs, quietly. A dilemma, for sure. Anakin holds on too tightly. In a way, Obi-Wan appreciates that. A fervent desire to protect the people important to you is admirable.

But it is not their way. ]

You're not expected to have all the answers. I even doubt I have them. You can only give what you understand of it. Each of us - even as Jedi - are unique.

That's why you were chosen to be her Master. For all we know, I could just as easily push her away with my answers.

You can only try, Anakin. You can't guarantee anything else.

[ He's comforted that even Obi-Wan, his very wise Master, wouldn't have the answer either. There's some strange satisfactions in it, that for once his best was ... enough, maybe.

Except if he fails and he does push her away with his insistence. He makes a face, his mouth twist downwards. ]

I know, Master. I can't help but think your answers would be a lot better than mine.

Not necessarily. You both . . . have a certain dissatisfaction with the Order. You, however, have stayed. I think your point of view would be a lot more helpful than mine.

I believe this is something we can agree to disagree on.

[ He does relent a little. ] But if she wants answers from me . . . well, she knows where to find me. Will that do?

[ He frowns at that. Does that mean he should... ask Obi-Wan to talk to her or ask Ahsoka to talk to Obi-Wan. What is this waiting for her to come to him thing?! Anakin lets that go for now and focuses on something less troubling. ]

Alright, we can leave that for later. How are you doing? Are you all caught up?

[ He's certainly not going to push Ahsoka into talking to him. For all he knows, Ahsoka might think he was responsible for the Council's decision. ]

I believe so. There's little else anyone can prepare me on. The rest will be left to experience.

[ They all blame themselves, it seems. ]

No lightsaber, huh.

[ A slow sly smile appears on his face ]

[ The circle is now complete. ]

Oh no. Don't you start. Besides, I highly doubt you have yours.

[ Bantering is a lot easier ]

You're right, I don't. But I do remember someone lecturing me about being more careful with it.

That someone is a lot wiser than you and is usually right.

Besides, I cannot be faulted for secret armadas that kidnap people for the sake of holo-vids.

Yes, yes, that someone sounds a little grumpy.

Lighten up, Obi-Wan. I always knew you were going to be in a holodrama one day.

I cannot imagine why. I'm not nearly as dramatic as you are.

And not nearly as handsome. But you find great ways of getting us into trouble.
