[ Obi-Wan is no stranger to waking up to unknown locations, but this seemed odd . . . even for him. He gropes for his lightsaber . . . which is gone, obviously. He huffs, before straightening himself and brushing his hair back. Communications . . . communications . . . ah, there it is.

A video feed. Somewhat archaic, but it'll do. He doubts anyone from the Republic will be nearby, but perhaps the locals will offer some aid. Obi-Wan clears his throat before speaking. It's time for his other skill set to come in use. ]

Greetings. My name is General Kenobi. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? And I don't suppose there is someone willing to answer my questions? Because I have a great deal many of them.

Umm... I'm Uzuki Shimamura, a communications officer on the Golden. I'll try and answer your questions as best I can!

[Ahsoka feels Obi-Wan's presence in the same airspace the minute he arrives. With so few Force users here, these things are even more pronounced than usual. It's only a matter of time, then, until the inevitable broadcast. So when it comes... she's prepared.]

[ A part of him relaxes, almost subconsciously. It was one thing to be on a strange ship, alone. It's another to know Anakin was nearby. Things will work out for the better. ]

All it takes is two words for Leia's interest to be piqued. This is a much, much nicer development than most of those she's experienced since her arrival.]

[He looks far younger than she would have expected, but that means little in a place where Anakin Skywalker and his twenty-something children can coexist.]

I believe you're currently aboard the Marsiva, which is... essentially the "mothership" of our fleet here. It's almost entirely automated, and there's not really any apparent way for us to access it normally. It's where new people show up. You should be assigned to another ship within the week, though.

As for the Golden itself... It's one of... I believe 17? smaller ships that make up the majority of the "drift fleet", which would be... us. All the smaller ships are set up so that they must be within a certain distance of the Marsiva, or they'll automatically self-destruct.

[ It takes him a few minutes to get his bearings. Ahsoka. While her leaving didn't leave the turmoil that Anakin faced, Obi-Wan wished he had said more. . . wished he had the chance to say something.

Master Plo Koon had the right of it, and for that, Obi-Wan lets it go. ]

I don't think it counts as "rescue" if you're stuck in the same place. And don't give me any "again" talk, I've always had to rescue you.

[ An honour? Obi-Wan can't say he's heard that very often. But his reputation (though exaggerated) does precede him. He replies with a lazy smile. Organa niggles at him, but he'll bring it up later. He has some manners, after all. ]

A pleasure, Miss. Organa. What exactly is all this? Several ships, travelling the galaxy together?

[ Obi-Wan observes this quickly, stroking his beard. ]

That's an odd system. Why would they need their ships to self-destruct?

[ Then it hits him ] Unless these are prison ships.

I don't think they're "prison ships" exactly, but either way, they'll be destroyed if we get too far away from the Marsiva. Before it self-destructs, we'll be beamed back onto the Marsiva, though.

I believe the main point is to allow us a certain amount of freedom without getting too far away from the Marsiva's flight plan, which was preset by whoever brought us here in the first place.

[Her smile is warm. She isn't sure exactly where they stand any more, but she won't treat him like a stranger.]

You might want to sit down. I have a feeling you're in for a series of rough surprises.

[ He folds his arms behind his back. ]

My padawan, Anakin Skywalker is here. Along with . . . [ he hesitates briefly. ] Ahsoka Tano.

No, you're on the Marsiva. I've been assigned as the pilot on a junkheap called Paisley. You'll be likewise assigned to a ship soon. It's not the Open Circle but it's not too bad, it'd almost feel luxurious if I had some canons on this thing.

Oh, and don't try to pick open the panels. I've tried.

Oh, I know Ahsoka. Kind of. We went hunting together.

Then it is a feeling we both share.

[ But he does, to his credit, take a seat on one of the hospital beds. Some of his demeanor slips into professionalism. ]

[ He quirks an eyebrow at that, picturing just how much Anakin tried to attempt wanton destruction on the ship before he was forced to give up. ]
