Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and You
Broadcast: Video
Action: Hospitality Deck - Marsiva
When: January 2nd
[ Obi-Wan is no stranger to waking up to unknown locations, but this seemed odd . . . even for him. He gropes for his lightsaber . . . which is gone, obviously. He huffs, before straightening himself and brushing his hair back. Communications . . . communications . . . ah, there it is.
A video feed. Somewhat archaic, but it'll do. He doubts anyone from the Republic will be nearby, but perhaps the locals will offer some aid. Obi-Wan clears his throat before speaking. It's time for his other skill set to come in use. ]
Greetings. My name is General Kenobi. To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing? And I don't suppose there is someone willing to answer my questions? Because I have a great deal many of them.

[ But he does, to his credit, take a seat on one of the hospital beds. Some of his demeanor slips into professionalism. ]
So, what am I in for?

[Or Luke, she thinks, but doesn't say. Either way-- the Skywalker family drama is none of her business. But she figures Obi-Wan deserves the cryptic warning to brace himself, either way.]
But I can tell you the specifics of this place, at least. For the time being, we've all been kidnapped by a species or people calling themselves "Atroma." The most important part is that we're in another galaxy entirely. Don't ask how. We don't know.
Also, if travelling past the edges of our known galaxy wasn't enough for you, time travel is also a thing. There will probably be at least one person here you recognise from our history books. There are also a handful of people here from our galaxy but from decades into the future. So... prepare yourself for that.

[ Even Dooku had his bounty hunter games. Still, it's the latter part that concerns him. ]
I'm sorry, time travel? That seems a little far fetched.

I take it you have proof of some sort.

She's like the same age as me. It's so cool.

I haven't told her anything about her personal future, if that's what you're worried about. Well-- except for the fact that she's kinda famous. That bit slipped out.
no subject
Yes, I imagine it would. Is she the only one? I've just met someone called Leia Organa. Possibly related to Bail, I imagine, though they don't look alike.
no subject
Ah. She's his daughter, actually. [AMONG OTHER THINGS.] From our perspective, she'll be born a few months from now. There's two others here like that. A ship captain named Han Solo, and another Jedi named Luke. You've probably sensed him already.
[She deliberately does not mention Luke's last name. She powers on.]
They're all from the same time, or near as I can work out, anyway. About two decades ahead of us.

[ And something familiar about it, but if he is a Jedi, chances are Obi-Wan knows him. Or will know him. The Force works in mysterious ways. ]
There are quite a few Jedi here that our captors have managed to procure. That's more than a little worrying.

Anyone can kidnap someone else, with the right preparations.
Keeping them contained is another matter. I'm happy to show them the error of their ways. [There's an edge to her voice that Obi-Wan is probably familiar with. Anakin gets it, too-- when he's planning something.]
no subject
[ But he keeps his tone gentle. Error, he's willing to show them. Beyond that becomes vengeance. ]
This setup . . . seems like a lot of power was invested in a game. A little too much power.

For people who can kidnap anyone from any galaxy at will-- they're very invested in making sure we stay here. I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in sticking around long enough to find out why that is.
no subject
[ If things go badly . . . and the chances are high, he wants to stay this time. He won't leave behind another Mandalore. ]
no subject
Of course. You can't think I'd just plan my own escape and just leave everyone else here?
[Has his opinion of her dropped so low because she left the Order?]
no subject
No, and that's not what I meant either. I was simply speaking my own feelings on the matter.
no subject
[She feels a little foolish, suddenly. Of course Obi-Wan hasn't changed his opinion of her just because she left. That's not what he's like.]
Well. Obviously I would stay too. There are a lot of civilians here, after all.
[Spoken truly like someone who still doesn't consider herself to be a civilian.]
no subject
Well, then. I'll be counting on your support.

[ Because it won't happen again. ]

I already am.

So. Captain Solo. Smuggler, right?
