Who: Greed
Broadcast: All
Action: The Huntress
When: Now!
That was real mature of you guys all skipping out on the Huntress just because I was made captain. [Literally just inputted a request into the computer for that. Nothing more.] I hope you all enjoy your new ships, because the Huntress is going to do just fine without you.
[He is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OKAY being ditched. He didn't even like you guys! Except he's not, because it makes him cranky and he's stuck kicking around on the Huntress trying to beat the high score on their new pinball machine. He's never played anything like it before, so he finds the experience pretty frustrating. But if anything, he's just bored and annoyed at having his 'possessions' taken away from him.]

Ling is a friend. Greed is more like an enemy.
They share the same body, though. But they're easy enough to distinguish.

[ He could barely sense another personality in there, among the multitude of groaning souls. ]

Don't ask me about the how or why. It didn't make any sense to me at the time either.
no subject
[ That would explain a lot. He nods in understanding. ] Part of the story will have to do for now.
Now, I believe we have another story to discuss. One concerning Luke.
no subject
Well. That was fast.
Is this a conversation we should have in person?
no subject
[ He'd be lying if he wasn't a little cross at all the side-eyeing over the Luke issue instead of telling him straight. Whether it was Luke's story or not. ]

[ action ]
Luke Skywalker, was it?
no subject
... I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you.
But I won't betray Anakin's trust. How do you think that would have gone down, if I'd told you before he had the chance?
no subject
[ He certainly doesn't blame poor Luke. While he's not entirely sure of his position as a Master, there's an inherent goodness in him that Obi-Wan can sense. This was certainly not the boy's plan. ]
I take it you checked up on Anakin afterwards?
no subject
... Sorry. I really thought he would tell you. [And she did. She's telling the truth. She looks away for a moment-- poor Obi-Wan. Then she looks back, at his question.]
Of course I did. But-- you know Anakin. He doesn't like to talk.

Titles by themselves are just words, aren't they? Who's going to respect a word?
Respect is usually something you get by respecting others in turn. ... And ... a little experience never hurts, either.

[And sure, he called them his 'possessions', but they all followed him anyway. Something about a guy who could accept anyone, no matter how much of a freak the military had made them into.]

If I just told you "I'm the best pilot in the galaxy, so come and be on my ship," you wouldn't just believe it, right? You'd want to see proof.

[Point: avoided.]
no subject
You're-- you're deliberately missing the point!
