Who: Chara
Broadcast: Text
Action: Red Fish, if you dare.
When: during the day (as in not at 12:30 in the morning when I am posting this)
Just throwing an idea out here. If anyone can find medicine that actually works on these ridiculous space colds (and lets me have some), I will knit that person as many ugly sweaters as they want. I promise, astronaut's honor, or whatever they say out here.
[ Of course, those on the Red Fish also have to deal with this colossal trainwreck of an adolescent in person. More or less. They're kind of cooped up in their sweet counselor office, having created a makeshift nest of blankets and pillows (one from the bed they would normally use, the rest from the couch in said office), though they are occasionally willing to leave the office. Mostly just for food, though if anyone is in the kitchen at these times, they will get to deal with this kid kind of giving them shifty eyes the entire time.
Enjoy your meal! ]

[ ... ]
Where are you from? If that's...not weird to ask.

[She smiles a little in a way that says she knows she just gave a ton of information, that basically will mean nothing to them.]
Don't worry if you've never heard of it. I seem to be the only one from my world that Atroma has taken an interest in. I'm rather fine with that.
no subject
A world without dryers, huh?
[ It's supposed to be a joke, but it sounds a bit unsure-- they still don't know exactly how much they can get away with here. ]
no subject
[She smiles, because it's fine to joke.]
We usually just hang our laundry on a line and let the wind and sun do the work.
no subject
[ They're probably talking a lot, they realize; if they think of it as making up for their time in a body that spoke instead of them, maybe it's fine. ]
It was underground, so...no wind. Or sun.
...obviously.

[She looks absolutely fascinated. Even leans in a little, kind of peering, but realizes quickly what she's doing, and stands up straight.]
Sorry, um, back home there's a few off-shoots of races that live under ground and they usually are darker complected. By a lot.
no subject
Oh...it's weird, I know.
[ Maybe she just doesn't believe them. ]
no subject
Different worlds, different races. I've just never seen it before.
[It's not weird.]
I've actually had people get surprised by my being a half-elf. Adra actually asked how it was working out for me.
[She laughs when she says it, because that was probably the best reaction she's ever seen.]
no subject
[ THE MAGIC WORDS. Seriously, she just won some major points with them. ]
no subject
[She moves her hair (there's so much of it), so they can see the pointed ears.]
I could be half, but I don't really know for sure.
no subject
Sorry, I-- I couldn't tell.
no subject
[She tilts her head, shifting interest back to them.]
What about you? What's your race?
no subject
[ But they sure don't like it! ]
no subject
The most versatile of races.
no subject
[ Careful, Chara, that's a road that leads to things like "otherkin" and then it just gets weird. ]
no subject
[She's also wished she could be something else but some things you can't change.]
no subject
[ It took them two tries, but they did do it. ]
But it still doesn't change...what you are.
no subject
[For a little while.]

[ And a part of them wants her to ask just so they can rub it in, that they hated humanity so much they wanted to be dead--
still, a part of them wonders if it'd be worth it. ]
no subject
[She is. That's so sad. Poor Chara.]
no subject
[ They don't know what else to do, so they laugh-- short, nervous. ]
no subject
Because death is a stopping, not a transformation.
no subject
[ It's all a big mess, basically. ]
