Who: Nami, Max Rockatansky, whoever answers
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Some frozen lake somewhere HOORAY
When: 8 January
[So Nami will address the network without fanfare. She sounds cold. Not in a help I'm freezing to death kind of way but I gave some idiot my coat kind of way:]
Hey, so I could use a h-hand. Northwest from the town about thirty minutes out, there's a frozen over l-lake. Mostly. I just fished one of ours out of it and if he doesn't get warm he's gonna freeze to death. Blankets or warm clothes for a... medium build guy broad shoulders. A pickup would be even better. [She pauses, glancing back over her shoulder as 'some idiot' - a wet angry cat of a man - starts sneezing violently.]
...a doctor's help would be ideal.

[While he aims to only be a few minutes, in temperatures like these- a few minutes can do a lot of damage]
Find or make some sort of marker and then seek cover from the wind. I'll find you.
Video
I'll leave a banner for you. [Her scarf is ruined anyway, overstretched and holed at one end.]
Look for the pole on the road, I'll attach something c-colourful.
Video
Alright, I'll find you. Stay safe.
[And with that he cuts the feed. It'll probably be a bit before he comes, so keep warm guys!!]

When Allen heads this way, he'll see a bright orange scarf tied to the top, ends whipping up in the wind.]
Action!
[Almost as soon as it lands, Allen in full winter gear comes out of the ship, a blanket in hand. He looks around for them, calling out]
Nami! Are you out here?
Action!
[She'll shoulder half his weight if she has to, but she hopes you can still walk, Max. She heads in the direction of the shuttle, yelling a response. The best thing about having a piercing voice really-- she can be heard clearly.]
Over here!
[And you're bringing a blanket-- thank god, she can get her coat back. Nami's dry for the most part, except for the the lower ends of her hair and one sleeve, but that doesn't mean she's not freezing out here without it.]
Action!
Then. Walking. One foot in front of the other. His damaged knee is throbbing and would probably swell of not for the ice-cold conditions that act as a defense (strangely enough). His knee does lock up a bit, and the contracted muscles don't help, so he's more or less walking like an old man that you turned the "shake" function on.
... Don't forget his jacket ;-;
And his brace, but mostly
Jacket ;-;]
Action
There you are!
[As soon as he's close enough, he'll be offering up that blanket to Nami who is currently coatless. Since yeah, best to get you both inside]
Do you need help walking? The shuttles warm and ready to go.
Action
[Max is heavy and Nami is stumbling under his uneven weight. She reaches out a hand for the blanket gratefully. And sorry, Max, you kind of took priority over your things, but she knows at least how important the brace was. She'll go back for it when she doesn't have her hands full with getting you somewhere warm.]
Thanks, Allen. He was only in for a minute-- [But it's enough.]
Action
I can — m-make it, on my own.
[Also he's a stubborn ass.]
Action
Yes, I'm sure you can.
[Either way, they don't have time to argue, so he moves to Max's other side, ready to grab him the moment he falls. It wouldn't a problem for Allen, if need be.]
I'll look after him, Nami. Go ahead and let go.

She wraps the blanket around herself fast, which ironically makes her shivering more pronounced-- she'll warm up once she's out of the wind. It helps a lot. After that, though, she shifts herself right back under Max's shoulder and helps Allen drag him back to the warmth of the shuttle.]
He's got crew waiting for him on the Starstruck. [Once he's not about to keel over probably goes without saying.]

Besides, it's hard to think right now. Thoughts are fragmented, stilted.
He wants out of this icy, awful place. He'd like to get the color in his face back fully, thanks. And... he'd rather not get Nami's ire directed at him. He knows she has a particularly short temper when pushed in that direction. It's good she has no memory of that, at least. He collapses into a seat after getting their help, clenching his teeth and face twisting into a look of pain before it smooths out.
Damned leg.
The pins-and-needles feeling of being somewhere warmer certainly doesn't feel much better, either. His whole body is hurting now, aching and throbbing unpleasantly, and it makes him squirm a little where he rests. But the warmth is at least seeping in, getting his blood flowing a bit in limbs that feel stiff and old.]

[Allen gets to work. He grabs a thermas that's full of hot tea and some mugs, pouring them both a glass and handing the drinks to them.]
Here, sit and drink this, it'll help you warm up. And sir, if you have any wet clothing on that you're willing to take off- do so. You'll warm up faster that way. [He'll move to grab more blankets and the first aid kit he packed in here. His tone is still professional, focused on getting his job done. He'll address the question to either of them] What happened to your leg?

T-this is yours.
[He doesn't want to owe you anymore than he does; he feels absent-minded, tired. He'll probably forget to give it back. He'll take the drink then, though, sipping very mildly. God, his arms hurt. His legs - his knee - it all hurts. Like he's been in a horrible fistfight.]

[It's only on his way back from grabbing more blankets does he catch a glimpse of the brand and tattoo on Max's back. They're strange enough to give him pause, making him tilt his head in an attempt to make out some of the words...]
["Keep Muzzled...."]
[...]
[Allen's seen a lot of sights in his years, experienced a lot of things. While he didn't recognize the brand itself, he can get a damn good idea of what it means. It's enough that he can feel the shards of his old anger twist inside him painfully. But he doesn't let himself voice anything about it. Instead he swallows those shards and walks back to drape blankets on both of them]
Very well. Do either of you remember how you ended up in the water? Were you pushed or...?

I didn't fall in at all. The only water I got on me was fishing him out. For-- [She nearly calls him Max, keeps it to herself--] For this guy, he was just out hunting and he's never been in a snowy climate before. The ice took h-him by surprise.
I was just lucky to be nearby. [Max could tell him all this, but he's more than likely not going to given the non-answer about his knee, and it could be important to know. At the least, she wants to make clear there was nobody else involved. This was just plain bad luck, a novice out on the ice.
The coat she takes, draping it right over the top of the blanket she has wound around her. Like hell is she removing that now.]

It sure the hell did take him by surprise, that's going without saying. He's not about to wax poetic about how inexperienced and stupid the whole thing had been for him. He will say that he really wants to go get even with that weird arctic beast that started the mess. That royal bastard.]
Mhmm.
[He is sorry for that, Nami, btw. Not sure if it's even obvious but he is. Promise.]
no subject
I see...
[The story was very understandable, and he gives a nod before he pulls away.]
Well, the important thing is that you warm up. I'm going to take you back to your ship, and once you're there, make sure to get some dry clothes on you and do your best to warm up.
Though, I do recommend you get that leg looked at.
[Max was a grown man, so he can't force him to get his leg checked out. Still, he can encourage him at the very least]
no subject
Whether he likes it or not. Heh.]
Thanks for the pickup, Allen. Probably that makes today just a small hiccup.
[Then she darts a pointed look at Max. Thank the nice man or she might consider kicking you.]
no subject
Don't look at me like that, you know it won't work. :|
But he does give a slight nod to Allen. An agreement with Nami. No words to it, but it's one of some level of gratitude. That's usually how Max is measured — by the actions, less by the words.]

Don't worry about it. It's part of my job.
[You know, making sure people don't die and all that, but he'll be heading to the pilot seat so they can get on out of there!]
