[Ah, the Golden. A lovely little ship with a weird little crew. They got two new people last week, and now another person? How will they all get along? Tune in and find out!

[Well, that's Hera. He'd walked in expecting to have to unravel his encounter with Obi-Wan but while he'd been dealing with his personal demons, she'd been getting business done. Good on her.]

You know I'm up for any op that gets us out of here. Who's the someone?

[firstrebel]

[ She doesn't like to waste time. ]

She calls herself Rogue. It's really just more recon, to see what we can get away with, but it's a start.

[ She has a feeling Kanan has something to talk to her about, but she'll let him ease into it. ]

Well, she certainly has the right name. Still, if you think it's on the level, I'm in. What does it involve?

[firstrebel]

She wants to approach the Marsiva, see how close we can get, if we can board.

I figure if nothing else I might be able to get a scan or two, see what kind of defenses they might be using.

[neverknight]

Not a bad idea. Are we thinking one of the ships or in a shuttle?

[The former might require a bit more teamwork than is presently manageable.]

[firstrebel]

[ She shakes her head. ]

Just a shuttle. The plan would be she and I taking a shuttle - you stay with the fleet in case something happens and we need to contact you, you can get another shuttle to us if necessary. I don't anticipate any particular trouble, but you never know.

[neverknight]

You know I never do like playing backup.

[But it wouldn't be the first or last he's done that. So aside from mild complaint, he's on board with the plan.]

When does all this go down?

[firstrebel]

I know. But the shuttles only carry two.

[ She'd bring him along, but it's better for the plan that someone who knows where they're going stays behind, and she doesn't trust anyone more than she trusts Kanan. ]

Probably tomorrow. If all goes well, I don't see it taking more than an hour. If we find anything interesting, I'll let you know and we can make more trips later if we want.

[neverknight]

[He nods.]

We'll need to be discrete. Assuming this isn't being broadcast already. [He grimaces as he stares up towards one of the corners in the room as if expecting a camera to be there. But not even his Jedi senses ping him for any kind of surveillance.]

[firstrebel]

You know me, I'm great at being stealthy.

[ She smiles a little. ]

I figure if or when we get some kind of lead - something to actually follow up on, then we can talk about bringing other people into our little conspiracy. If you want.

[ Other Jedi, or not. Whatever you're comfortable with. ]

[Another rebellion... He knows that's inevitable, but it's not something that comes easy to him. But then, he isn't exactly eager to stick around the fleet either.]

There's a few we can trust. I know that much at least. Maybe even the Jedi.

[Or at least Ahsoka and Obi-Wan. He doesn't really know the others.]

[firstrebel]

You think so?

[ Her look turns curious. ]

Have you spoken to them much? [ Or just avoiding? ]

[neverknight]

Some. [He might just leave it at that, but she deserves better than that.]

I ran into Obi-Wan on the planet. I don't know how he managed it, but he recognized me.

[Maybe he'd been sloppy. Or maybe he'd just forgotten what it was like to be around a real Jedi Master.]

[firstrebel]

That's right, you met him once, didn't you?

[ She watches him carefully, and then offers - ]

I've spoken with him a little, too. He seems like a good man.

[neverknight]

[A nod.] Back when I was a youngling. One of several. [And if he had to be honest, not particularly remarkable.] I don't know how he remembered me.

[He'd changed so much. Obi Wan might not have said it, but he must have thought Kanan a disappointment.]

[firstrebel]

Maybe it's something to do with the Force.

[ Yeah, she doesn't really know. ] Or maybe you were just that memorable.

[neverknight]

It's a Force thing. [He'd never consider himself that memorable.] At this point, I don't know if there's really a point in keeping secrets. But I don't want to have to be the one that has to tell someone like Ahsoka what happens next. She's so different than the one we know.

[firstrebel]

Yeah...

[ Hera sighs a little. ] You don't have to worry about that with Master Kenobi. I already spilled those beans to him.

[ She pauses a beat. ]

In my defense, he did ask.

[neverknight]

I got to drive the point in harder. [A sigh.] Hearing about Ezra helped, I think.

[He may have not been a model Jedi, but he was at least trying to pass on their legacy. It was something at least.]

[firstrebel]

Oh, that's good. I'm glad you told him about Ezra.

[ She thought maybe that would help. But it was for Kanan to tell, not her. ]

[neverknight]

[A faint smile.]

It's all good unless he meets the kid. Then he'll know we're really doomed.

[firstrebel]

[ Hera chuckles, and gives Kanan a Look. ]

You don't really mean that.

[ She knows Kanan is proud of Ezra, of how far he's already come. Just like she is. ]

[neverknight]

You know, the Pathstone is just too quiet. I keep expecting to have Ezra and Zeb to bust in with Chopper at their heels.

[The appreciation of peace and quiet that came with being on the fleet lasted for about all of one day. Now it's just hard to be away from the crew.]

[firstrebel]

Yeah, it's the same here. Everyone is just too well-behaved.

[ She smiles faintly at Kanan. ]

I'd say we should try to get transferred to the same ship but I think they're all pretty full right now.

I'd thought of that. I think we'd have to arrange a swap. I don't know that there's anyone on my ship that would be willing. Besides, I'm dead weight on that ship anyway. Apparently there's three security officers on board now.
