VIDEO βΏ marsiva
Who: Alisaie Leveilleur
Broadcast: Fleetwide video
Action: Marsiva, hospitality deck
When: Current
[ A (surprisingly) tiny elf greets all who would come across this message in the most pleasant manner possible: by slamming her palms against the console and raising her voice. ]
How dare you! [ You possibly meaning the people behind her abduction though anyone is free to take offense. After all, it's a display for all to witness. ]
I bet you don't even have the gall to address me in-person! I swear to you, no matter what it takes, I will find the thieves responsible. [ Wait--thieves? Perhaps she's not so angry over being kidnapped as she is over something missing. Then again, hasn't she been stolen herself?
Alisaie, who has experienced loss so much over the span of her short life, can't bear to be without her grandfather's (second to) last gift to her. A grimoire that was half of one and yet fully operational as a focus on its own. After spending the past day searching for the highly-valued gift of sentiment, she's finally taken to addressing any who would listen. If Alphinaud were here, he would insist they could catch more flies with honey and perhaps she would have left this (all of this) to his expertise. Since she is seemingly without, her hand has been forced while she's not in the best of moods. ]
I would offer a reward for a hint but pray tell how I may compensate for aid when I am without my coin purse. [ Angry and cynical, what a good combination. Furthermore she won't waste anyone's time with trivialities or questions. That is knowledge she will discover on her own in due time.
For a moment, it appears as though the tantrum has concluded as she steps back from the console. No, something else sprung forth to mind and while she feels guilty he was not her first thought, he is now her primary one. Her gaze lowers towards the ground as her bangs fall over her eyes. There is one question she must ask no matter how painful the answer may be. She wills the courage within and speaks of it abruptly. ]
If you have seen a boy--[ They may be adults but Alphinaud will always be the little boy to her. ]--who shares my very image, I... [ would love to see him once more. The sentence never is completed, Alisaie growing more withdrawn as regret chews away at her.
Enjoy the emotional roller coaster today, viewers! ]

... [ More material? Whatever did he mean by that?
A question better asked once she's turned the conversation around. ] Are you here alone as well, ser-?
no subject
And his operator's not here, which is just the icing on the cake. He has to take care of him! Doesn't Atroma understand this...
It takes him a moment to realise that she's just asked for his name. ] Oh. My name's Elecman. Yours?
no subject
My brother's name is Alphinaud, if you have heard of him perhaps, I would like to hear of it anon. [ Though something within her (instinct) tells her she is without him.
It isn't the first time they've been apart. ] He has a penchant for getting into all sorts of trouble and his charm does little to dissuade his adversaries. There's no telling what sort of storm he'll stir up in my absence.
[ Therefore it's imperative to return as quick as she can. ]
no subject
Alphinaud...No, I don't think I've seen an Alphinaud around. [ He shrugs. ] Sorry.
Oh, he's a troublesome person, huh? Sounds pretty exciting. [ Elecman, no. There's a bit of a grin on his face. ]
no subject
or sevenby her side. ]Pity that he's not around. [ That doesn't rule out his being here though it does lower the chances of a reunion slightly. ]
Else I'm certain he could stir something up. [ Then quickly after, she adds: ] I formally request you make no attempt to encourage his poor behavior should he arrive.

no subject
This I will keep in mind, ser Elecman. [ Should he ever arrive.
Alisaie prays he doesn't even if her heart yearns for his companionship. ] These troublemakers however... are they ever present in our company?
no subject
Or a sign, maybe. But a sticker's funnier. [ Elecman please. ]
I suppose you could say that. Mostly people keep to their own ships, though, so I guess you'll have to gamble it on luck and hope you don't get someone who likes to stir up trouble. [ He'd include himself in that number, but...he hasn't really done much lately. Somehow it's just not fun any more without anyone to share it with. ]
no subject
Their own ships? [ Tapping her arm thoughtfully. ]
When will I acquire one of my own? [ And how? She doesn't have enough coin on her person. ]
no subject
It'd be nice to get individual ships, but for now we're all kind of stuck with each other. At least until we dock somewhere, anyway - that's happening now.
no subject
Everyone starts off as a newcomer at one point in their lives. [ She's not looking forward to the menial tasks that will be placed on her shoulders in her near future. ]
Never mind that. You said you were docked somewhere?
Could you tell me more about this port?
no subject
We're currently docked at the FS Starlight. It's a space station - a big one. 24 towers, an artificial day and night cycle, lighting, consistent gravity and oxygen - whatever it's running on must be some engine. [ It goes without saying that he'd love to get a look at whatever's powering this place, himself. Well, to anyone who knows Elecman's passion for engineering (a few people). ]
Nobody's got any money in their accounts, but we're allowed to work here, so it's fine. There's plenty to do. You'll get perks depending on what your job specialisation is, if you have one.
no subject
When you say a station perchance you mean one that trains travel through?
[ The rest of his statement is easy enough to figure out. People work not to raise money but to support one another. Without one person chipping in, another will have to pick up the slack so they must work together. It ties easily enough with the crew mentality even if she's inexperienced with working with others.
That was honestly her brother's specialty. ]
no subject
[ As for a station... ] Yes and no. [ He's getting into the rhythm of answering questions, providing information. One of his many functions. ] It provides transport routes for spaceships like this fleet passing through, so in one sense it does allow ships to pass through in transit.
But - it also serves as a trade hub and a meeting place for political activities - at least, that's what the ads say. You can buy a lot here with the right amount.
Seems kind of flashy for politics, though. [ He shrugs. ] But maybe they do things differently up in space.
no subject
A meeting place for political activities... [ She murmurs to herself, that part sticking out above the rest. ]
What need is there for politics among prisoners?
no subject
Oh, it's not for us. Probably for people from the other side of space, or something like that. We probably won't get to see the inside of places like that, unless you're being employed as a cleaner or something.
You could ask someone about it when you get there. This place has all kinds of people on it.
no subject
Besides, it's her brother that's the politician. Alisaie's a bit too wild with her emotions to behave in such a setting. ]
All kinds of people from various worlds, you mean. [ She's gathered that much by now. ]
no subject
Yeah. Aliens and stuff like that. I'm sure it's colourful. [ But he doesn't have much interest in that...he's just as colourful, probably. ]
no subject
Other travelers which means there's a good chance that one may have heard of my world. It's imperative I return anon.
