A: TEXT

I think it's time I retire from teaching for a while.

I don't suppose anyone knows a decent way to pass the time?

B: ACTION

[ When Stefan announced the prayer room, a quiet place for meditation, Obi-Wan had been thrilled. While he enjoyed and cared for the Huntress, quiet is not something they are known for. After talking to Anakin, he knew he was in dire need of quiet and inner peace

He does not regret ( he can not regret )

And yet.

In a way he had envisioned as a child, it had always been Master and Padawan, together. Even when separate, they fought together, learned together, believed in each other. But Qui-Gon died all too soon, and for so long, Obi-Wan threw his hands up against tradition. When Yoda told him to be Anakin's master, he chose to be Anakin's friend. He did not caution against attachment, only warned where it might lead.

He breathes heavily, his legs folded on the mat. It's not working. The Force is still too quiet, too alien at this moment. It doesn't understand his sorrow.

Obi-Wan chuckles, opening his eyes and pushing his hair back. It should be used to that by now.

Looking down at his hands, he's quiet when he speaks. ]

Please help me.

It depends on how healthy you want to be about it.
I could give you suggestions anywhere from gardening to piracy.

What did you teach?

[She's one of the few who actually has no clue what a Jedi is, but let's file that away for another time. He wants to give up teaching; probably he doesn't want to delve into that right now.]

Gardening is still manageable if you've an interest in it. There's a community garden on the Iskaulit that's always looking for people to help out.

Otherwise if you're looking for something on your own ship, there's always reading. Studying the local cultures. I make maps in my spare time. Card games, both by yourself and against others. They don't have to be particularly loud. If you know computers, there's all sorts of weird files buried in the network.

You didn't strike me as the piracy type.
mikangirl: DEFAULT DEFAULT (Yes. I actually own clothing.)

Sounds like a very successful pirate. Has he got any morals?

Weird files like... you can requisition your weapon if you're willing to give yourself a headache finding the right form. In trying to find that I also found a survey on the food, applications for captain, various charts I didn't recognise, and a whole bunch of other fill-in forms I didn't really get the purpose of. It's a headache in there, but someone more tech savvy might find some use in them.
mikangirl: (oh please)

I wish you luck. I put the forms in for my own weapon, but that was two months ago now. I did get a message saying there was a "problem with Customs", whatever THAT's meant to mean.
mikangirl: (you don't say)

The climatact. I designed it at home, so it's not exactly replaceable. Though I guess I'm making a start on its component parts. [Inasmuch as she...has a normal staff. Hooray. She hasn't seen anything remotely approaching weather tech in the places they've stopped at thus far.]

I assume yours is also pretty unique.

That sounds both very useful and complicated. [It reminds her first of Kizaru, then Zoro, and she thinks with a grin Zoro would love to get his hands on a blade like that.]

The climatact is a staff combined with various chemical reactions. It can create weather patterns on a small scale. I'm starting to think the science for it might be unique to my own world, though.
mikangirl: DEFAULT DEFAULT (what did I say about resting)

The chemicals don't replicate the weather itself. The climatact generates combinations of rapidly cooling or heating air that someone with expert knowledge can then manipulate into causing weather patterns.

That involves implementing certain technologies I have no idea how to create on my own, or I might have better luck. I just co-opt them into a weapon when their usual use is to help countries in drought and the like.

[Don't dig too deep, Obi Wan. One Piece science is a rabbit hole of wtf-ery.]
mikangirl: (good times)

[personal profile] mikangirl 2016-02-05 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
It does, which is why I can only produce small scale. Think a room, or a courtyard. And if I ever get it back or manage to remake it, I'll show you.

[Though probably not long enough to actually study it. She's missed the security it brings a great deal.]

mikangirl: DEFAULT DEFAULT (today's pretty awesome)

Likewise. And I hope you find a bunch of things to keep you occupied!

That, you know, you actually enjoy doing.
