[The bunks are filling up, but the new faces just keep appearing!

Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Everyone else-- go meet those newbies! Whether they are new to your own crew, or on ships you frequently visit, now is a great time to bump into them.]

[Time to meet the scrawny blue captain. Kurt had just returned to the ship from a trip to the Starlight. Finding signs of confetti around, it seems like the telltale sign that a shuffle has occurred. So he pokes his head around the ship, trying to find any sign of the new crew member(s), eventually peeking into the bridge.]

Hello? Is anybody home?

[He can't quite see someone small sitting at the communicator's station at this angle, but he peers around the area curiously anyway.]

Home? [ As if Aliasaie needed reminder of her captivity.

Bringing her knees in along the seat, she sits up on them and peers around in the direction of the voice. ]

We are so very far from home.

[ Not even phased in the slightest by his appearance. That's probably more surprising than anything else about her own. ]

[With a closer look, he notices the new face and quickly feels guilty about his choice of words, opting to sheepishly rub at his hair.]

R-right. Sorry, I... didn't realize how bad my choice of words was.

...I'm guessing you're a new crew member.

Yes, it would appear as though I am. [ She wilts a little against the back of the seat, using it to keep her body propped up. ]

Though I can hardly be the only one. There were many of us on that station.

[He gives a light-hearted shrug.]

Dude, tell me about it! I wasn't there, but it seems like there's new people all over the network this week. They all must have been shuffled too... but let's hope a lot of them ended up on the other ships! There's only so much room in this one...

[After a pause, he adds.]

Oh! But, um, welcome to the crew. I'm Kurt, and I'm kind of the captain around here!
