Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Oh! No, Yosuke's the captain.

He's just an ordinary teenager. But he's doing his best.

Why wouldn't I give a damn? I might not be the captain, but I still have a job to do.

..An ordinary teenager? How exactly do they pick captains? [And he shrugs.]

Some people don't care about their jobs. Especially when they're forced into them.

[Ahsoka shrugs also.] Does it matter? It seems like he cares a lot about doing a good job, and he's always open to advice. It's a good opportunity for him to learn something outside of his comfort zone. And besides, Peggy's first mate. She'll steer him in the right direction, don't worry.

Well, I sure as hell wasn't that responsible when I was an ordinary teenager. [It was mostly about football on Friday nights and girls the rest of the week and-okay so that last part hadn't changed much.]

Well. Yeah. [He can't argue that. Peggy does have that authoritative vibe going.] So how long you been here?

Hmm. About four months now? About that. Give or take.

Last month I saw someone celebrate their one year anniversary. You should strap yourself in.

Great. [But the word definitely doesn't match the tone.] Alright, so sell me. Anything good about this place?

Well... there's free accommodation?

Okay. So how many people have gone insane? I mean, space has got to do some work to people all on its own. Add to it the shitcan we all live in. It's had to have happened to someone right?

[Ahsoka chuckles.]

You might have to pose that question to the network. I don't exactly know everybody.

Not something you've seen then? [Well, if their crewmates were sane, in the end that was all that really mattered.]

Well... everyone's going to be a little bit different from what you know or expect. But I don't think I've met anyone genuinely crazy, no.

Good to know. [He eyes the nav controls again for a second before deciding its infinitely more boring than a Jedi.]

So...not the darkside, right?

Hm? What's not the dark side?

[Ahsoka looks surprised, appalled and offended all at once. It's a feat.]

What? Of course not!

The values of the Code are sacred to me. Tons of initiates and padawans don't make it to the rank of Jedi Knight for one reason or another. And they don't all go Dark Side!

[He holds up a hand in surrender.]

Just-just making sure. I mean, you gotta admit, there's some precedent there.

Well, sure, but-- for every padawan or knight who's fallen to the Dark Side, there'd be at least fifty who have decided that the lifestyle simply isn't for them, and gone home to reunite with their family and live a normal life. Or stayed in the temple to work as a guard, or a scholar.

[Okay. Point. Probably. It's not like he knows outside the whole movie verse, here.]

What did you decide to do?

I... hadn't decided yet. I just wanted some-- some time away. To find my own path.

[He grins lightly at that.] Yeah, so you are the teenager that you look like, aren't you?

What? ... What's that supposed to mean?

...huh? [Yeah. Right. Like he's going to try to explain that whole rebellious 'tread my own path' identity crisis teenage angst to a teenager. That'll totally blow up in his face.]

Nothing. No. Not a-not a thing. [Oh, look. those controls are really interesting looking. He's just gonna...poke at them.] Just um-you know...good luck with all of that.

[Ahsoka just fixes him with a flat look.]

... Of course.

[Her tone and expression makes it clear she doesn't buy it for a second.]
