[The bunks are filling up, but the new faces just keep appearing!

Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

Well, this is the place for you!

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Everyone else-- go meet those newbies! Whether they are new to your own crew, or on ships you frequently visit, now is a great time to bump into them.]

[If there's anything he finds particularly weird about this guy ~~besides the usual weird stuff~~, it's the way he acts like he hadn't expected him to turn around.

So, Naruto does turn back right away, choosing to take a little time to weigh up his thoughts about his new ship mate.

Right. He would be taking this guy too. A quick glance around him, which result in Naruto almost slipping out of his seat and he leans back, offering a one shouldered shrug.]

You guys aren't doin' anything better.

[Dezel steps back just a little to avoid contact. Nothing personal, he just doesn't like being touched, and if Naruto is about to fall out of his chair then that's a possibility.]

Forcing everyone to go along with your whims won't make your stay easier.

[He crosses his arms.]

Besides, not everyone can fly shuttles to get to where they need to be. And some of us were visiting the station we were docked at.

[flatly] You're being cocky and selfish. Someone's gonna put you in your place sooner or later.

[Oh wow, dude. Wow.

He'll just forget the whole backing up thing. The other stuff, he can't ignore. It's entirely the reason why he scrambles slightly to turn around in his seat, pointing an accusatory finger in Dezel's direction.]

Oi! What d'you know about me?

I thought all of you lots were-- you know. Just hanging out here doing nothing!

Where's the stupid shuttle?

[He seems to remember a second later, as if he'd temporarily forgotten that the shuttles even existed despite his augment, and he turns back, flicking another set of switches until it's clear the engines are powering down and not readying for some kind of take off.]

Bunch of boring old losers.

[Dezel doesn't even flinch. He's the calm and cool type, or he tries.]

The cargo bay. If you had looked around before you jumped into that chair, you'd have known that.

[Plus, Hera seems like she doesn't want to share the pilot's seat. Hera is like... the one person so far who's earned a smidge of respect from him.

He scoffs and steps aside, just in case Naruto is tempted to knock him over on his way from the chair to the hallway.] How can someone like you even see me?

[Prepare to be tested!]

I know that now.

[It wouldn't bother him so much if he weren't so keen to see Sasuke, in person. There are things he has to do though, and there's little that will stop him. Except - you know, guys telling him not to hi-jack the ship they all live on.

That question is one that strikes him as odd, and just as he rises out of his seat too. Naruto can't help the way his lips press together, or how his eyebrows furrow.]

You're right there.

[Dezel stands there, his arms still crossed. Being six feet tall makes him a great hat rack. Look, he's even wearing a hat already.]

Most humans can't see seraphim. So you're either special, or a monster.

[Is your friendly neighborhood head-fox still a ball of anger? That might pose a problem.]

[It's not easy to intimidate him by height alone... even if he is tiny kinda short.

Except he has to go and mention monsters and Naruto will suffer a surge of pride.]

I ain't a monster, alright?

[He's not going to elaborate.]

Maybe I'm just pretty awesome?

[tbh Naruto could probably kick his ass, so it's ok.]

Whatever.

[He reaches up and tugs his hat down, making it harder to see his faded silver eyes.]

If you end up turning into a hellion, I'll just kill you.

[As long as you're afraid!!! Rawr.]

Didn't you have a shuttle to catch?

[He sounds a little bit like he's making fun of Naruto for having such a short attention span.]

[He does... but.]

What's so special about being able to see you anyway?

Like I said, it makes you an oddity. Half the people on this ship can't even tell I'm here.

[He doesn't sound too torn up about that fact.]

To everyone else, it looks like you're talking to yourself.

But why?

[Without second thought he reaches out, attempting to tug on the sleeve of Dezel's sleeve.]

Are you kiddin'? They better know I ain't talkin' to myself!

Because I'm a seraph. [Maybe that requires a little more explanation.] I'm a kind of elemental spirit.

[He jerks back reflexively, but it's a fair bet that Naruto is faster. So now he has a brat tugging on his sleeve. He seems solid enough.]
