Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

[ Dean swallows like it's painful, and makes a show of tonguing at his teeth through his closed mouth. ]

Yeah, it's better than blobs; I'll give you that.

[ This is like some kind of weird trick to get him into eating leafy greens. Sam probably just loves the stuff. Dean barely manages to swallow it down. ]

You know, I heard there's decent food at that... space station we're crashed on.

[Sam didn't tell her you were such a baby Dean. A little kelp ain't ever killed anyone.]

Nah, I haven't got enough money. I'm savin' up.

[For what exactly, she doesn't say.]

What's your name anyway?

[ Hey. Kelp probably killed someone somewhere. You'd be surprised. ]

I'm Dean. [ He smiles, leaning back against the counter behind him. ] Good to meet you.

[ He's assuming she'll give her name, but if she doesn't, he be polite. Since she didn't volunteer any more about the money, though, he's less polite and asks her straight. ]

Saving up, huh?

[Big smile.]

My name's Misty. And I wanna get a radio or a boom box or .... I don't know, whatever fancy music players they got in space. Things just ain't right if I don't have my music.

[ Misty? That's cute. Kind of suits her. And music? Oh, he can agree with that. ]

I know what you mean. Wish I had my cassettes.

I'll keep an eye out. There's got to be something. Soon as I find it, I'll call you.

Oh, that'd be wonderful! Don't know if they have much music from Earth way out here, but don't mean we shouldn't look. What kinda music do you like anyway?

[ So she's from Earth. Awesome. She looks human, but Dean knows a lot of things that look human but aren't; aliens shouldn't be an exception. Especially if the movies have taught him anything. Anyway, so far so good. He can't help grinning, talking about his favorites. ]

I only listen to the classics. You know, Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath...

[ He could go on. Really, he could. Don't encourage him, Misty. ]

[Well at least his taste ain’t totally terrible. And in any case, she’s always happy to talk music.]

I like Zeppelin! I never listened much to either of the others… just sorta heard them on the radio when I was a kid, you know. My favorite is Fleetwood Mac though.

Stevie Nicks. Yeah, I can see that.

[ Dean pushes his lips up, shrugs, generally makes an expression that says "Not bad." At least she got the decade right. If she'd said something like One Direction, that would've been the end of the relationship right there. Fleetwood Mac's not exactly his kind of music... but there's no arguing that Stevie Nicks is a babe. ]

But if you're alright with Zepplin, you're alright with me.

[Misty probably has no idea who the hell One Direction is, let's be real.

She grins, happy to find another music lover - one who's in the right decade too.]

Well we just gotta find ourselves some music then don't we?

[ It's rare to find somebody with decent taste in tunes. Dean could talk about good music all night if you let him, and here he's living on a ship with someone who just might humor him about it. He grins right back. ]

Oh, we will. And if we don't? We can always do a little karaoke on our own.

[ Dean, no. ]

[But Misty yes!]

Oh that'd be real fun! I got a friend who can play guitar and Makie knows how to play this cool instrument called a shamisen and she's gonna teach me! We could have concerts and stuff I bet!

[... Though Led Zepplin on the shamisen would be uh. Certainly a thing.]

[ Lord, this is going to be a disaster.

But Dean seems it think it's a great idea, just like all the other disasters he's responsible for. ]
