Are you a travel-weary passenger having trouble keeping your crew roster straight? Perhaps you are a fresh new recruit, finding themselves dumped into a new (and much less shiny) home. Or, maybe you've been around for a little bit and just haven't bothered meeting the other weirdos on this ship yet--what is their problem, anyway?

All new passengers from the last few Shuffles, especially those who haven't met their crews yet, are welcome to post starter-comments here to invite those living on and visiting your ship to come and interact. Newbies could be just arriving on the ship, busying around where others can find them, or you can offering multiple options for interaction--however you'd like to set up your thread is fine. Just make sure to include the name of your ship in the header, so your crewmates can easily find you!

Everyone else-- go meet those newbies! Whether they are new to your own crew, or on ships you frequently visit, now is a great time to bump into them.]

[He smiles amicably despite the topic] That's a long story, but in essence this isn't the first time I've been pulled out of my own world, and you may soon discover I'm not unique in that aspect among the fleet. I spent five years in that other world and was given a chance to leave and return back to my own world. Except, when I finally took that chance...I arrived here instead. I assumed it was another of Paradisa's tricks rather than a new place entirely.

...You've just been yanked out of your homeworld before? Another reality show? This is just common shit? [God, and he rolled his eyes so often at all those 'i got probed by alien' hicks. Maybe they really did get picked up for a alien porn show.]

Common might be overstating it, given the relative population of the many, many worlds represented here, but...my story is not a unique one either. Paradisa wasn't a reality show, no, and there are others here who were once there and remember it. I've heard that there are others here who have likewise been taken by other places. Feel free to ask around if you doubt me. All that tells is is that there are many powers in the cosmos that are beyond our comprehension.

Ah, man. I don't have any reason to doubt you. But to be honest, the places other people come from? Don't really mean shit to me when we look at the big picture. Other things to worry about, you know?

Where are my manners? [Probably back home, honestly. But he gives his new crewmate a wide grin and offers a hand across the table, each finger of which is wearing a heavy gold and garnet ring]

[He takes the hand and shakes it firmly, notes the jewelry, but honestly, he knows all about dressing to impress so he can appreciate the effort Felix is putting forth his in appearance.]

FDR. Nice to meet you.

FDR? How interesting. Is that the shortened form of something, or is that simply the custom where you come from?

Uh. No. It's...It's initials. For my name. Franklin. Actually. But I kind of prefer FDR.

As you wish. [Though clearly somewhat reluctant because Franklin sounds like a much better name to his ears]

[Seriously? The letters sound cool, okay? And they always lead to a bit of a mystery. He's used to asking what it stands for, or for people recognizing it for the president he's named after. He has sooo many presidential sex puns in his arsenal it's bordering pathetic. And he can't even use them because nobody here knows who the hell the man was. Ah well.]
