[When the credits froze Vash was alright. He had some funds he couldn't get to because of it, but he had also had plenty of money squirreled away. The idea of 'invisible' money always seemed a bit odd to him anyway.

But what he did know is that some may not have done the same thing. While there was still plenty of food it would be what was on the ship and that stuff got bland fast. Besides, the ships were a bit crowded anyway.

Which is why he was turning on the video feature now. He clears his throat and puts on his most "charming" smile.]

Lovelies of the Fleet! It is simply terrible that our money has been taken from us through no fault of our own! Leaving us stuck with the terrible slop they call food on these ships!

But worry not! Your hero Vash has saved some away and is of course always willing to share with you lovelies! Looking for something a bit more tasty tonight. I, your lovely, handsome, and gracious host; Vash the St-[No, wait. Trying to NOT to be seen as criminal now.] Stupendous would be happy to take you on a lovely date tonight!

Simply meet me at the The Solar Garden! I'll be sure to reserve a nice table in the back for two or more~~~

All I ask in return is a bit of conversation and your company. Although fair warning; you'll likely want to thank me in other ways. Like an offering of dessert after dinner which I will be more than happy to accept!

[And there he'll end it and be waiting at The Solar Garden. A restaurant he has heard is a popular place for date night in this part of space.

This is obviously the perfect plan for a date. Totally no way this could go wrong and guys would show up, right? Or kids. Or people who know exactly what Vash is actually trying to do and will just troll the heck out of him, right?]

[There's a shrug. She could eat.] On my way.

I can't wait to meet you! [And he'll be sitting at a table. Lounging and waiting for anyone to show up. Playing with his silverware out of boredom.]

[She shows up, staying quiet for a moment and watching from a distance before approaching.] And then what did the fork say to the spoon?

Ummm, [Vash taps at his chin with the fork for a moment.] OH! I'm sorry, but I fork-got your name!

[Vash throws his head back in uproarious laughter. Finding his pun apparently to be the best in the world.]

[She might have been slightly amused if he hadn't been wildly amused. As it is she's just going to stand there staring at him until this...dissipates.]

[Eventually the laughter stops as he gets up to offer to pull the chair out for her.] Glad you could make it!

Hmm... [She should probably go, but free food... She takes the chair, keeping an eye on him as she sits.] Anyone else show up?

Not yet, but maybe later! If we're still here that is and haven't decided to wander off for to have a different type of fun.

[Well, that is impressively delusional.]

Uh huh. So, what do you do back home? Or are you a professional mass-dater?

Me? Well, I'm actually a hunter of peace. One who chases after the elusive mayfly known as love. What about you my lovely companion for the evening?

Oh. That's even better then! I'd hate to break my no-assassin dating rule.

[She looks at him thoughtfully for a moment before nodding.]

This is fine. I'm not really picky. Anything made with real food is a step up from the ships.

[A glance.] You don't seriously hunt for love back home. What do you really do? [She's basing this more on "how would that be what anyone does?" than anything he's said or done.]

Aimless drifter then. At least that's what people seem to think my hunt for love and peace seems to look like.

Hmm. Independently wealthy or relying on the kindness of strangers?

Kindess and the occasional odd job. I've become a pro at washing dishes.

[She's not sure what to make of you, Vash.] So this date thing. Was it just about getting a ratings' boost?

Well, mostly it was an excuse to meet new and pretty girls. One can never have too many friends, right? [More so of the pretty variety.] Although, I admit, it hasn't exactly gone as planned.
