Let the games begin!
[several days late, as has been the trend lately, the Shuffle's transmission plays for the Fleet.
...or, it tries anyway. the music doesn't even make it--just a punch of static with sad, scattered pieces of musical notes trying to struggle their way through.
when Diamond's voice is finally heard, it's only intelligible in three little bites.]
--Three disappearing from-- ... --new faces, so-- ... --Captain Halliwell--...
[and then the music blends strangely with other sounds, like someone flipping idly through broken radio stations. it takes some time for anything to come in clear, and every frequency turns up the same interference. it isn't until several minutes later that one signal suddenly stutters into clarity, and music begins to play.
wherever you are, they are playing your song! and if there are multiple people in the room, maybe the speakers nearest to each person are playing different songs, each specific to the closest passenger. and after the signal connects, the speakers will continue to play whatever song they started with, even if different passengers move toward or away from them, and will only play something else when the controls are messed around with. and the signals and machinery will continue to behave in this way sporadically, all through the month.]
ooc: the musical madness has begun! feel free to use this post as a mingle for interactions relating to shuffle day and the ensuing musical chaos. if you have any questions, please post them to the January ooc post!

Yeah, it definitely sounds like it. [ not like he would know, he wasn't exactly the most religious. there's a pause on his end, and when he speaks, he's a little quieter. ] You don't think...?
[ that's definitely some uncharacteristic hesitation coming from him. ]
voice;
...That something mega-ly weird is going on?
voice;
[ gosh Kaneis. but Lloyd sobers up enough for him to get his thoughts out. ] I was wondering... maybe we're getting close to Derris-Kharlan.
[ since it was supposed to be adrift in space now and all. ]
voice;
[There's a long, sharp, pause as he listen]
...The voices sound too human to be angels. [you know, like they have EMOTIONS and all] And I don't know why they'd be singing like that anyway.
Whatever it is, it's probably not them. [He mutters:] Hopefully, anyway.
voice;
he shrugs on his end. ]
It's not like Colette is there, anyway.
Re: voice;
Sorry, but we're probably still far far away from there.
[Though he's not exactly broken up about that. Poor Lloyd, he wonders if the guy is homesick]
Maybe it's just some creepy ghost that's going to try to murder us.
voice;
of course that's all thrown out the window the moment Kaneis mentions "ghost". ]
Th-that's even worse! [ please don't start with your scary stories again Kaneis, Lloyd already has enough ghosts after him. ]
voice;
What? Oh c'mon! You've faced ghosts before! How much worse could it be to face them up here in space where no one can hear us scream?
voice;
That's the problem! At least back home we could run away! [ WE CAN'T EXACTLY DO THAT IN SPACE ]
voice;
[Sounds so very casual about this]
That's gonna suck!
voice;
[ omfg he hates you so much rn ] What're we gonna do if any of those ghosts do show up?!
voice;
Relax! It's probably not ghosts.
voice;
[ okay yeah, that helps him calm down a little. it could be something else just as easily as it could be Colette or ghosts. ] Well, what else could it be?
voice;
Maybe a wizard did it?
voice;
voice;
Wizards use magic.
voice;
But how do they do it so that they can change their voice?!
voice;
There's a lot of different schools of magic. I'm sure any number of them could provide a method to something like this.
voice;
[ and he has the ability to learn angelic magic? jeez! who knew what else he could do besides what he'd seen Colette do! ]
voice;
voice;
[ since. you know. he's an angel too. which means he DOES have to think about it (and he's not exactly looking forward to it). ]
voice;
[....]
Oh yeah.
[HE MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT ANGELIC MAGIC /BEST ANGEL]
voice;
Don't tell me you forgot!
voice;
[Yes, yes he did]
Glow-y angel magic with the praying and the feathers and...other stuff. Who could forget about that?
voice;
You did, didn't you.
