2nd Blight - video
Who: Riona and you!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: On the Blue Fish, if you really want
When: Now
[The device is propped up somehow on Riona's bed. It affords a view of her stretched out on said bed, fiddling with a long knife that she picked up on the station. It's sheathed, and she seems to be doing it just to occupy her hands. Don't worry, she's not about to go around threatening anyone with it.
She glances over at the camera and offers a smile.]
It occurred to me this morning that it's been approximately a month since I arrived here. Admittedly, it's put me in a bit of a contemplative mood. Been thinking of the usual: what I'm supposed to be doing right now back home, the people I left behind, my dog...
[She misses his slobbery kisses...]
But fear not, I'm not here to weigh everyone down with me waxing nostalgic and pining for home. As while I was doing that, it also occurred to me that I've learned quite a bit in the few weeks I've been here. Not just about all this technology and whatnot - though I am of the mind that refrigerators are one of the loveliest things ever invented - but with what I've been able to experience and, of course, the people I've been able to meet. Before anyone goes off, I'm not applauding Atroma. They're still a bunch of bastards. It's more like making the best of a... well, weird situation.
So I pose a question to you all: if there is one thing you could take back with you to your world - whether it's a physical object, an experience, a bit of knowledge you've gained, or so on - what would it be? Feel free to take the question as seriously or not as you'd like. I'm curious to see what all of you would be willing to take from our time here.

[She's hardly an expert but she knows enough to run Dany through the basics.]
That's good to hear. I've never been on any of the other ships, so I couldn't say as to how they are run. What is your assigned job?
no subject
[She's gotten by with her own luck and with the augmentation she's been given. It still made her feel self-conscious about whether she was even going to settle in the Caprine anytime soon.]
I would like it very much if you ever felt the need to visit the Caprine. Or perhaps a visit to your ship is in order? I've explored the station some but I haven't been to other ships.
no subject
[Riona still isn't used to it, honestly.]
I would always welcome visitors, though it may be easier to come to your ship. Ours had locks installed recently, so I would have to let you in.
no subject
[Because at least then she knows that she and Riona aren't alone in this strangeness.]
I see. If you ever find yourself with a free moment, feel free to come for a visit then.
[Strange that not all of the ships have locks such as that, or perhaps didn't feel the need to use them. Whichever the case may be, she was glad that Riona was willing to come pay a visit.]
no subject
[Nope, it's just one of the many delightful things they all get to experience together.]
I'd love to, thank you. Give me a good time and I'll do my best to be there.
no subject
[And if he did mind? Well she's still Queen in her own right, if you asked her, and she wasn't going to ask permission. It wasn't as if Riona posed a security risk.]

[Comics, Dany. They're called comics.]

Your captain has a dog? Is it a large beast, or some little lap pet?
no subject
[And would be their first officer if Joseph had is way, probably.]

[Her tone is wistful, almost sad. She dearly misses her Kiter.]
no subject
[She's with her there, as far as missing her beloved children.]
no subject
[Commiserate with her, Dany.]
no subject
[Traveling around as she did somehow left little time for having pets when she was growing up. A tragedy, honestly.]

[Please tell her everything.]

[...mostly Morrigan, in truth. Still funny as hell though.]
Do you not know how to wield a weapon or defend yourself?
no subject
Mostly just ate children but that's neither here nor there they weren't always that awful and used to be tiny and adorable.]I- no. I do not. I had guards to defend me.
[Not even gonna touch the other thing you said, Riona.]
no subject
Mm. Problematic when they're not around.
[Which is why self-defense is the best kind of defense.]
Would you be interested in learning how to protect yourself sometime? Nothing terribly vigorous, just a few maneuvers.

[How good at it she might be remained to be seen. However, it couldn't be denied that her ancestors - namely the women - had all been great warriors who road their dragons with ease. She had no proficiency in either of those skills. Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal had not been obedient. They had been far to destructive for her to control.]
no subject
Wait. Dragons?]
...you had dragons?
[WUUUUUUT]
no subject
[Smiling because she does enjoy this reaction when people in the fleet find out about them. She does miss them.]
no subject
[She suddenly pauses, mulling over something.]
Though they are intelligent enough to, now that I think of it. But still, I could never imagine one willingly listening to a human. Usually we're a light lunch.
no subject
[Sort of.....? Okay, maybe she's bending the truth a bit. Drogon, at least, came back for her. She would figure the rest out eventually.]
I am their mother, so I have nothing to fear from them.
[Sort of.]
no subject
Okay. That sounds fake, but okay.]
Perhaps dragons in your world are a shade more cooperative, then. High dragons in Thedas are a menace when they're set on nesting, and will not be deterred.
[And there's only one way to deal with them when that happens.]
