MEANWHILE...

[He's a Canadian Bub and he just woke up on the Marsiva. With all the shit that he'd been dealing with lately trying to track down Romulus and deal with his demented son, he might have handled this whole being in space thing a whole lot worse. Instead the feed opens with Logan standing in front of the viewing bay with his hands in his pockets and a less than pleased expression written in his features.]

Damn. Space again.

[It wasn't like he went into space all the time, but he didn't especially enjoy it. He could be seen tapping the glass gently with the business end of one metal claw protruding from his wrist. Well, he sure as hell hoped there was someone around who was a better pilot in zero atmosphere than he was. Besides, at least he couldn't see Galactus out there.

Later when the feed cuts off, Logan will try getting past the visitor's area of the Marsiva by trying to cut a path through one of the walls with his claws. Unfortunately besides making some very unpleasant sounds, he doesn't seem to succeed in cutting his way through. Too bad.]

[Well, it's not always easy to weird up someone on weird when they live in 616. But space without stars is pretty appropriately fucked up.

Looks like there's some 'verse mismatching going on here. I'm hopin' wherever yer from, yer still a part of the X-Men.

[A nod.] Since y'all saved me an' Scott from Mystique.

Long story. [Pause.] We're friends in my world. An' bein' an X-Men crosses universal barriers, s'far as I'm concerned.

[Heck, being a mutant had for Billy. It should for Logan too, even if it wouldn't be the same.

[That sounds like a different set of events to be sure. But there's enough familiar about her that he'll take it on faith. He can deal with being proven wrong later if he has to.]

[Logan doesn't quite laugh, but he does snort in amusement. It's hard imagining Scott as anything other than an X-Man.]

Alright, good. [The Scott she knows doesn't have that stick quite so firmly lodged or quite as far up, but that's not hard for her to imagine at all.

She pauses for a moment then adds:] Remy's from my world. He ain't X-Men, but he's alright. [Though how much any Logan who knows Rogue's history with Remy is going to take her at her word there remains to be seen...] My Kurt's here too. I'm sure he'll be chimin' in as soon as he sees your broadcast. He's... young.

[The Remy he knows is also 'alright', though actually on the team... most of the time. That three of them are all from this same 'verse makes him something of the outsider here, but nothing he ain't prepared to deal with.

We ain't talkin' toddler sized, are we?

[Rogue laughed, briefly. Toddler sized might just be easier for her to deal with than 'Still pissed you threw Mama off a cliff' sized.]

Nah. We're talkin' 'bout 15. He's also... [How to put this delicately...] He ain't experienced much. [Screw delicacy.] Couple of normal X-Man things, but no war, nothin' really more traumatizin' than making the government's top most wanted for a spell. He's a kid.

[But age never did spare most of 'em. He hasn't forgotten all those young and fresh faces brought in each year to the team. Lately, it's been getting to be a little too much seeing kids that age trotted out for battle.]

Got some SHIELD agents here. Avengers too. [Though she has no idea if he'll know that second one, SHIELD is usually a pretty consistent thing.] Not from my world, though. Couple of repeats, even in theirs.

[SHIELD... He can count on his hand how many times SHIELD being around has been a good thing and he ain't even gotta use his fingers for it.

That many Avengers an' this place ain't busted wide open yet?

Ain't much place ta bust to, even if we could reach the Atroma. [It was one thing to have the power, even though as far as she knew no one had been able to so much as get on the Marsiva or resist the call to board when their shoreleaves were over.]

No one's got the faintest idea where we are, or if there's even an Earth - any version of it - in this whole system.

Never been fond of these far from home deals. Ya seen any planets get chomped on yet?

[Not that this seems like one of those situations, but hell. You can never be too careful.]

No, no chompin'. Hardly any conflict at all. Got a random Other Fleet that comes around, fires at us for a bit, beats us, then runs off, but other'n that the only thing really dangerous is the lack off coffee an' the boredom.
