[Have one sulky looking blond on you screens. Arms crossed, mouth pouty, and her cheeks puffed a little not doing much to hide that fact. Well no one said this situation was ideal, and she’s definitely feeling that.]

So it’s been three days and I’ve been mostly keeping quiet, I mean what’s the chance that anyone from home is even here? [Someone doesn’t think it’s likely she got lucky and knows anyone here.] But I guess if anyone from Inaba is here, could you maybe say hello? Yu if you’re here I’d like to hear from you. I could use a little normal.

[Her head shifts and her features take on a slightly more snotty look.]

And if you’ve seen him - silver bowl cut, handsome face, incredibly nice by all accounts, I’d appreciate it if you let me know.

[And the message ends there without so much as a thank you or a sign off.]

If I find him I'll let you know. [MOMO feels bad that there isn't more that she can do at the moment. Ai's looking for a silver haired man with a bowl cut. It doesn't ring a bell. She'll keep her eyes open though. ]

Yes... [There's a pause there though there's a pretty distinct look of she doesn't know what else to say. She's usually actually pretty good at communicating, maybe they broke her when she got here. Or maybe it's just the downside to only having one friend.]

Thank you. It would mean a lot to me.

Oh, don't mention it. I just want to help out a little.

My name's MOMO by the way. It's very nice to meet you.

[She smiles at Ai in a girly way.]

You are thank you.

Ai. It's nice to meet you too.

[Aw she's so cute. Look at that smile. Something about it just makes Ai want to take her under her wing and teach her all about fashion and pretty things. And she's willing to help that's good too. She's more than happy to accept the girls help though.]

[Oh that'd be nice! MOMO always wanted to do things like a normal girl and hang out with people. Ai's in a difficult situation and it makes MOMO really sympathetic.]

Ai? Would you like to talk?

[She'll lend a ear if it's needed.]

[Well she's in luck all Ai knows how to do is being disgustingly normal for a teenage girl.]

Sure. I'd like that. Might be exactly what I need at this point.

Okay!

[A nod of her head.]

Which ship are you staying on? Do you know yet?

[MOMO isn't sure if Ai knows which ship she's been assigned to. New people tend to end up on the Marsiva.]

The Heron. Been here a couple days.

[She'd been moved not too long after waking up on the Marsiva.]

[YOU RANG???? It's not him exactly, but he does recognize the girl, and the mention of Inaba, and the name she asks for, because he knows there are worlds where his name is Narukami. She's from one of them, not his own; that much is clear. When he replies, the video displays to her a face much the same as Narukami's, with the exception of a thin scar slashed over his left cheek.]

Ebihara-san. It's good to see you again.

[Oh god it's him. She's practically bouncing a complete 180 from the sad girl looking girl that made the post initially. It's fine people will get used to that. And then she squints, mouth pressing into a thin line in confusion.]

Yu-kun what happened to your face? [Another pause Ebihara-san? Aren't they a little beyond that now?]

And why are you talking like you don't know me?

[Ah. This will never not be awkward, will it. Souji gives her a brief, apologetic smile.]

I'm sorry ... you know a Yu Narukami, right? My name is Souji Seta.

[He'll give her a little time to digest that first before getting into what happened to his face.]

[Ai chews her lip. The excitement replaced by disappointment as her shoulders sagged and she looked down.]

Oh. I do. He was my friend back home.

[She wants to ask how this is possible? How could he look so much like her friend and not be him? And then she blurts out both questions in quick succession. She's never asked so many questions in her life about anything not directly about her.]

[Souji's never found it difficult to believe in other worlds, mostly because he already saw one back in Inaba - the TV World. It's easy for him to accept, but not as easy to explain to someone else who doesn't have that same frame of reference.]

People just come from different places when they're brought here. Sometimes they're completely different, but sometimes they're mostly the same. I met Ai Ebihara in Inaba ... we went shopping together a couple of times.

[But they hadn't quite gotten to the point of being friends yet.]

Yosuke Hanamura is here too - he also knew a Narukami, not a Seta.

[And then there's Nanako. No way to explain how he knows she's from a different place without it getting awkward and sad, so Souji skips right over that.]

Does that sort of make sense?

[Pitfalls of having friends that are as normal as can be. She needs a minute to wrap her head around what he's implying. He knew an Ai Ebihara but not her. She sighs and shakes her head. The disappointment only growing.]

Oh. Sorry you just look so much like him.

I spoke a little with Hanamura-san since getting here. He didn't mention knowing Yu-kun.

[She can feel a bit of a headache forming. How do people deal with this sort of knowledge in a general sense she will never know.]

I guess it makes some sense. Thanks.

It's OK - I've heard that before.

[He gives her a gentle smile - see, he's not offended by being mistaken for the other boy.]

I may not be Narukami, but I'd like to hope we could still be friends.

[Her smile is small and a little on the wavering side as she nods.]

Yes of course. I'd like that.

[Part of Chloe wants to immediately dislike this girl. Oops? Still she's got nothing better to do so...Here Ai, have a punk girl giving a slightly mocking salute/wave.]

You might be surprised, from what I'm seeing people get stuck here in groups half the time.

[Feelings kind of mutual if the way her eyes narrow is anything to judge by. Funny... not she doesn't appreciate you mocking her.]

And then he contacts me so I am quite surprised.

See, there you go. Same thing happened to me.

Wake up wondering 'what the fuck?' then bam, friendly face.

Kind of sad that that's the normal way of things.

But at least there are friendly faces.

Doesn't work that way for everybody though.

[Had Chloe been messing with her, or trying to keep her spirits up?]

My 'friendly face' had been here on her own for six months.

[Oh thanks that was reassuring. Ai frowns]

I can only hope that isn't the case for mine.

Doesn't seem like it. You've got friends popping out of the woodwork.

[Sorry Ai, none of these calls are private.]

Huh? Oh Hanamura-san. He's not...we just went to school together.

[Good to know. See Hanamura-san she hasn't forgotten your name yet and it's been more than five minutes.]

Hey, better than nothing, right?

[Yay Yosuke?]

Mm, maybe. I'll just have to wait and see.

Man. And I thought I was pessimistic.

It's not pessimism, just being realistic that it might not be all that good or all that bad.

'I'm being realistic' is just what pessimists say when they don't want to seem negative.

[Chloe was totally a pessimist so she gets it.]

But hey, whatever. Knowing anyone here has to be better than being alone.

[ ... Oh. Wow. This is not something he expected! His expression is clear surprise. ]

Whoa, hey! I know you! Ebihara-san, right?

[ "Yu"... she mentioned Yu, specifically. So, not from Souji's version of reality. Noted. Any bit of information is always good, no matter how small. ]

[Surprise? Ai tilts her head trying to place the face.]

You were in the same class as Yu-kun weren't you?

[Sorry she only has a vague memory of him as being a friend of Yu's and even then she only really noticed because he's pretty-ish?

[ Pretty girl has no idea who he is beyond vaguely existing on the same corner of the planet? Must be canon! ~~/sad trombone~~ He fights back a sigh ( Figures... ) and nods instead. ]

Yeah, that's me. So the fleet picked you up too, huh? Are you okay? [ Beat. ] It's Yosuke, by the way. Yosuke Hanamura.

[ Maybe his luck will change? Maybe she won't forget his name in like five seconds flat?? ]

[At least she recognizes they went to school together. She could have not even realized that.

She nods.]

Yeah, a little confused but okay. [Oh is that his name? Hanamura. Hanamura.] What about you Hanamura-san? How are you?

[Guess he's in luck she hasn't forgotten it yet. Check again tomorrow?]

[ Tomorrow, it is... He'll treasure the moment, while he can.

He waves a hand, dismissive, and tries for a more comforting sort of smile - one he wouldn't have been capable of if he hadn't been here so long - and somewhere else weird and freaky before this. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I've been here for a few months now - like, eight or something. I kinda lost track. Hey, uh, can I help you? Or anything? I know we're not on the same ship, but still. Inaba kids should stick together, huh?

[ God bless Communications augment, he was quickly able to track where she's broadcasting from! ( Not like he knows right off hand what the inside of the Heron looks like, after all. ) ]

[Well see that's something.

It sort of works. Not quite the same or as comforting as it would be if it were Yu, but it was good enough for the moment she guessed. Wasn't like Yu was going to be in Inaba forever.]

Oh, that's a long time. But like you finished the year so how is that possible? [Ai purses her lips, contemplative.] I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out how I fit in here, but I would like that. Sticking together that is.

[Is that how the communications augment works. She's been a little hesitant to explore the exact uses of the console on the bridge beyond sending the broadcast to start with. Though she does somehow seem to understand what all the knobs and buttons are for.]

I think it's like... time stops, or something. Maybe? [ That's how it was on the Astral Plane, so why not this place? ] I don't know for sure. It's all really weird, complicated, sci-fi space stuff. I just know we finished the year, saw Yu off at the train station, and then I was here.

[ ... So wait a minute, then... ]

What's the last thing you remember, then? From back home.

[ Kotoha is watching the video broadcast as she walks down the hallway of the ship, and once the message ends, she decides to go find the girl instead! She's gentle about it, hands clasped together behind her back as she sort of edges her way over. She's frowning out of concern. ]

I hope your friends are here after all. The way this place keeps dragging more and more people in, maybe chances are a little higher?

[Ai still exactly where she was in the broadcast. Sitting elbows propped up on the console and her chin in her hands. By the look of things Ai doesn't seem to have any intent of leaving any time soon. Just sit and wait until maybe something crops up.

She jumps a little at the sound of the voice and turns slowly once she gets her heart out of her throat.]

I hope so. It'd be nice to not be alone.

Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you like that.

[ She gives an apologetic smile as she leans against the nearest wall. ]

Yeah. That would be nice. But in the meanwhile, if you need anything, we're all in this together. Of course, the other people on other ships are helpful about things too, but our crew is really nice about sticking together! So, we're here for you.

It's okay. I'm not used to places like this.

[Inaba was countryside. It was all open spaces and quiet. The only way to feel even vaguely normal and urbanite was to take the train into the city and spend some cash.]

Yeah. But it seems like you all have plenty to worry about as it is. I'll try to remember though. Seems like this is supposed to be home for the time being. You'll let me know if there's anything I can do to be more useful?

[Of course she means that in a general you not just her personally.]

Me neither... Sakurashin was a medium-sized town, I guess, but it wasn't anything like space! And it was a lot bigger than things in this ship. Ahh, bending over so much to get into rooms makes my back hurt...!

[ With an exaggerated frown, she twists a bit in place, like she's trying to stretch out the offending vertebrae. But she's clearly just doing it for effect, because she's back to normal within a few seconds. ]

And of course! But you're doing fine now. [ Grin! ] My name is Kotoha Isone - I'm your security officer. Come get me if anyone gives you trouble~ [ Wink! ]

Yeah Inaba was kind of the same. [She chuckles a little and shakes her head.] Sorry. I wouldn't know what you mean. I seem to not have a room.

[Ai waits her gaze drifting around the room a little.]

I'm not too sure about that. All I'm really good at is shopping. [But she grins back despite not really feeling like she should.] Ai Ebihara. Communications. Who would give me trouble?

Shopping! That's a great skill~ [ Hello! You might have a shopping buddy in the future! ] And well, hopefully no one would give you trouble! Everyone so far seems either harmless, or... well, I'm glad they're on our side.

Ah, but, you don't have a room? [ She frowns. ] Probably because of the way they keep stuffing more people on our ships, but won't give us anywhere to put everyone... Ugh, Atroma.

You're from Inaba? Like, the village one, in Japan?

[Have a very interested young girl, completely disregarding everything other than the fact that this girl seems to be from the same town as someone quite important to her.]

Yes, though I guess it's kind of more like a town than a village. We have our very own Junes.

[Ai most of Inaba is rice fields who are you kidding.]

[Okay yeah that's definitely the place.]

Do you know anyone named Rise?

I know of her. We aren't in the same year. I know she had a huge crush on Yu-kun.

Oh. Huh. [Definitely not gonna say "Yeah she was my girlfriend" yet, then.] We used to know each other, at a place kind of like this. Paradisa.
