So it’s been three days and I’ve been mostly keeping quiet, I mean what’s the chance that anyone from home is even here? [Someone doesn’t think it’s likely she got lucky and knows anyone here.] But I guess if anyone from Inaba is here, could you maybe say hello? Yu if you’re here I’d like to hear from you. I could use a little normal.

[Her head shifts and her features take on a slightly more snotty look.]

And if you’ve seen him - silver bowl cut, handsome face, incredibly nice by all accounts, I’d appreciate it if you let me know.

[And the message ends there without so much as a thank you or a sign off.]

You were in the same class as Yu-kun weren't you?

[Sorry she only has a vague memory of him as being a friend of Yu's and even then she only really noticed because he's pretty-ish?

[ Pretty girl has no idea who he is beyond vaguely existing on the same corner of the planet? Must be canon! /sad trombone He fights back a sigh ( Figures... ) and nods instead. ]

Yeah, that's me. So the fleet picked you up too, huh? Are you okay? [ Beat. ] It's Yosuke, by the way. Yosuke Hanamura.

[ Maybe his luck will change? Maybe she won't forget his name in like five seconds flat?? ]

He waves a hand, dismissive, and tries for a more comforting sort of smile - one he wouldn't have been capable of if he hadn't been here so long - and somewhere else weird and freaky before this. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I've been here for a few months now - like, eight or something. I kinda lost track. Hey, uh, can I help you? Or anything? I know we're not on the same ship, but still. Inaba kids should stick together, huh?

[ God bless Communications augment, he was quickly able to track where she's broadcasting from! ( Not like he knows right off hand what the inside of the Heron looks like, after all. ) ]

[Well see that's something.

It sort of works. Not quite the same or as comforting as it would be if it were Yu, but it was good enough for the moment she guessed. Wasn't like Yu was going to be in Inaba forever.]

Oh, that's a long time. But like you finished the year so how is that possible? [Ai purses her lips, contemplative.] I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out how I fit in here, but I would like that. Sticking together that is.

[Is that how the communications augment works. She's been a little hesitant to explore the exact uses of the console on the bridge beyond sending the broadcast to start with. Though she does somehow seem to understand what all the knobs and buttons are for.]

I think it's like... time stops, or something. Maybe? [ That's how it was on the Astral Plane, so why not this place? ] I don't know for sure. It's all really weird, complicated, sci-fi space stuff. I just know we finished the year, saw Yu off at the train station, and then I was here.
