Log 002 | Video + Action - Can't Kick Those Old Habits
Who: Jim Kirk & Anyone
Broadcast: Yes, fleet-wide
Action: On the space station
When: Feb. 14 (or any other day you want to work out for the action)
[ Video ]
Okay, so I think I have the money situation figured out here.
We get money by being popular on this "show" and being "ranked" -
[ Can everyone hear his continued disbelief of this load of crap they are being fed, but fine he's playing along for the time being. ]
But we can also get it on the station by offering to do work. Am I right? Which, by the way, just seems like it's adding insult to injury.
So aside from my making a cardboard sign and tacking it up in the space station, I'll set it out here too - I'm generally good with technology and fixing things in general, so if you ever need anything fixed I'm more than happy to get whatever it is you need running again for a fair price.
And if anyone has a recommendation on someplace to get good, cheap clothes on this station, I'd appreciate it. And real food.
[ He can only live so long between his uniform and the gray jumpsuit and replicated food items. That buffet on the Blue Fish ruined him to early. There are limits. ]
[ Action ]
[ As he said, he made his way down to the space station to see if he can drum up some business and start earning some cash. He hates being a free loader or being put on charity - he just hates being non-useful in general and he's terrible at sitting around and doing nothing. Besides, job hunting might also come with info hunting, so it's two birds with one stone in a sense. So off to find a job and some food that hasn't been replicated. It never tasted the same, no matter how much the product might say otherwise.
One really should not be surprised to see him chatting someone up, male, female, green, tailed, scaled ,or otherwise. It might be equally common for him to be getting slapped, and there's about a 65% chance of catching him in the midst of a bar fight if you find him later in the evening, or leaving in the company of someone. He did mention he had a reputation to keep up, and everyone needed some outlet for dealing with their situation. This was his.
He will try not to look to chagrinned making his way back to the ships come the morning though... ]
[ ooc: feel free to hit him up anywhere on the station as he will literally be going around every inch of it. And by all means, be the one being hit on, or just interrupt his night/morning because he's made poor life choices somewhere along the way! ]

Re: [Action]
[ He titled his head at the other man and laughed with him. He knew his line had been potentially cheesy, but that had always been a part of his charm, he thought. He would never be city slicker smooth, but he didn't want to be. Especially not when what he used got those kinds of smiles out of a person, warm laughs. It made for good memories. ]
Hmm, all right. Go get the booth and I'll be right back.
[ He nodded his head towards the spot and changed direction to another one of the bar tops, this one with wine bottles behind - or what he thought were wine bottles. He leaned over, speaking quietly to the tender for a bit before coming back with two glasses and a bottle of a brilliant blue liquid. He sat down across from Remy and poured them both a bit from the bottle, swirling it. ]
I can't pronounce the name if I tried, but I was promised it would set the mood for the evening.
[ He grinned and winked at Remy, holding out his glass for a little toast. ]
[Action]
It was great.
His eyes raised and smile returned as James showed back up again, it turning to a grin as he joked.] 'nd here I was worried ya might go 'nd leave me with the bill. [Ignoring the fact that wasn't a real worry and turning his attention to the drink as it was poured out before taking the other glass, giving it a closer inspection before noticing the toast. Chuckling at the idea Remy raised his own glass to clink against Jim's.] Ah, that only an issue if I wanna reorder it 'nother time, ain't a problem for now. [Then taking a sip from the glass.]
Re: [Action]
[ Thankfully, Kirk was having no such thoughts. To him, Remy was simply a lovely Cajun man whose company he was enjoying very much. He had never quite heard an accent like that before, and he found he liked it very much. Not to mention he was handsome with that red hair and that sharp jaw. And that was really all Kirk needed to be initially attracted to someone. The playful nature simply reaffirmed his initial flush of attraction.
Jim laughed at the other's toast, watching him drink over the rim of his own glass. His tongue did a slow roll across his own lips as he watched the other, enjoying the bob of his Adam's apple when he swallowed. ]
No, not for now. Hopefully not later either. You did say you wanted to remember tonight, didn't you?
[Action]
Would hate for either of us to forget. Gotta pick out a new title for ya after all, no point in puttin' all that work 'nto it if just goin' to have it gone in the mornin'. [That was the initial premise of this all, wasn't it?]
Re: [Action]
[ There's a definite arching his brows now, a curious tilt of his head, and a sparkle in his eye. ]
A new title, hmm? Here I was content with Captain, but I'm curious to what you think I should be called. Or perhaps you are implying I should earn it?
[ He tapped the rim of his glass, lips pulling into a mischievous grin, eager to hear what the cajun would answer. ]
[Action]
Just thought we were doin' this all under the pretense of findin' ya a new title other than 'the new guy', to make sure ya stay fresh 'nd 'nterestin' for the viewers.
Re: [Action]
[ He did and it made him smile a little wider. Beneath the table he touched at Remy's foot with his own, a gentle tap to tease at him. He laughed, because Remy had at least remembered his initial pick up line even if he hadn't. Sometimes they got away from him, especially with the way this blue wine was buzzing on his tongue and in the back of his head. ]
Well, I'm sure that would help things. But I like to think I'd get a name for something I've done, you know? Something nice.
[ He emphasizes the word and his eyes glitter, leaning into the table some and smirking at the other man. ]
Just means we have to get to know each other a bit better. So, Remy, what keeps you 'interesting' to the viewers, hmm? Any tips?
[Action]
'nd 'm sure if we put our heads together we can think of one or two nice things for ya to do, 'nd maybe afterwards then we can figure out the whole reality show popularity thing, hien?
action forever
He leaned in towards Remy, not quite close enough for their noses touch, but definitely inside his space. Fair was fair, right, Remy? ]
Two nice things, hmm? And what might the first one be, Mr. Expert?
[ From the way Kirk's eyes traveled down to Remy's lips, he seemed to seriously hope the Cajun's mouth had something to do it. ]
forever and ever?
Closing the space and tilting his head just so, Remy moved to catch Kirk's lips with his own, keeping that steady pressure for a long moment before pulling back just far enough to be able to speak again in a slightly lowered tone, yet still loud enough to be heard over the music of the bar.] If we countin' that as one then 'm goin' to have to add more numbers onto the list.
and always
His laugh is warm and slightly rough, tipping his head forward to take Remy's lower lip between his teeth to nip and brush his tongue over. He released and gave a brief suck to his upper lip before leaning back. ]
Well now you definitely have to, since that was number two.

At Jim's comment he let out a low 'hmmmm' as an answer,] I guess so, but ya know, to do it well, we gotta work out what gets a number. I mean, we determined a kiss does but might have to, [As he swept his gaze down the form of the other man which the table didn't block.] Experiment 'nd see what else counts.
no subject
Hmm, I never pass up the opportunity to participate in an experiment.
[ His eyes glittered and he took up the bottle, standing from the table. ]
But I think we might need to find somewhere a little more private to conduct our experiments, don't you?
no subject
Which left one other option.] Ya know, next quarter over got some real nice hotels 'nd the like. Sure they would have a room free at this hour.
no subject
So hotel room it was.
He sidled up to the cajun and leaned up to kiss him again, keeping it rather light, but the promise was there in the brush of lips and the caress of his tongue. No sense in giving it all away right now, was there? Had to give the cajun a reason to follow along. Blue eyes shone brightly in the dim bar light as he moved to head for the exit, a certain smug and confident cant to his hips as he walked. ]
Let's find one that serves breakfast.
[ And Remy count interpret that however he wanted. ]

He shivered at the touch of Remy's hand, making no move to escape the touch. Thankfully, the quarter had plenty of hotels and it wasn't hard to find one with their rather short checklist - available room with a big bed (that last part might have been his preference, but still), and a complimentary breakfast in the morning (perhaps of dubious quality, but complimentary was complimentary).
He popped open the door and stepped in, looking to Remy as he leaned with the slightest cant of his hips against the door jab. ]
What do you say? Work for you?

Moving into his personal space, Remy cupped a hand to side of James' face and leaned in to press their lips together while guiding them both far enough into the room he could kick the door closed behind them.]

No more need for words, right? ]

He met the bites and scrapes of teeth with vigor, sucking at Remy's lips, tongue flicking out to taste him and commit the curve of his lip to memory. Warm laughter bubbled out of him, sultry and velvety as his knees hit the edge of the bed and he gripped Remy, falling back into the sheets. ]

Not to be outdone, his hands slid down Remy's back, working his shirt up so that he could tease his fingers around the hem of his pants. He found the small of his back, rolling his fingers in small circles, pushing just beneath the edge and drawing back. Two could play at the teasing game, and he was more than happy with Remy's lips right now. ]
