Blameless Mingle
Who: Those who are without blame
Broadcast: Nope
Action: On the Blameless
When: Whenever we feel like it! Gawd!
[A brand new crew has been assigned to a brand new ship. Can they find it within themselves to get along? Find out next time! Or you know, in this actual log.]

And by nice, we mean all the lights are off.
Or, if you're a little bit later, perhaps you wandered in after the lights were back on again and found a trail of fresh blood near the entrance. If you follow the blood to it's source, rather predictably, you will end up at the med-bay.
In it is Azula, alone, rummaging through all the various cabinets with what looks like some difficulty. She's divested herself of her armour (which sits on top of one of the beds), and is clutching one hand to her opposite shoulder tightly, breathing heavily. Her blouse is naturally red anyway, but... it doesn't hide the large blood stain on both sides of her shoulder quite well enough. Well! There's your source!
She uses her injured arm to rummage around one-handed for what she's looking for. The room itself is somewhat of a mess-- she hasn't exactly been taking the time to look carefully and put things back where she found them. The pain is keeping her from moving as quickly as she'd like, but she can't make herself go slowly, either. She makes a small noise of frustration as she slams another drawer, unable to find what she's looking for, and mutters under her breath.]
Where is it!
[Alternatively, if you would like to run into Azula a little bit later, you can always find her sulking in the med bay or in her quarters after having her injuries taken care of. She will have changed shirts of course, but there's a bandage around her neck and she'll be moving pretty slowly-- if at all.]

[And then he sees Azula clearly bleeding, and all concern for his safety go out of is mind. He nearly leaps forward to begin opening cabinets.] You lay down, Azula; I'll get it.

... It was a disarming shot, not a killing one. [Somehow, that's even more galling.] No vital organs. Small puncture wound, clean through. If you don't hurry up though, blood loss will be a concern.
'im his possibly' why do i phonetag.
Do you want to tell me how this happened?
i didn't even notice. i'm fluent in typo.
It was a simple philosophical disagreement. It's none of your concern.

azula's quarters »
she's met skywalker (scream). and she already knows wolverine (sorta). but who's this, hm? kate might have embarked upon her twenties with the grace and gravitas of someone to whom adulthood is well-suited, but she's definitely eager to meet the other youthful face.
she just doesn't expect it to sit so evidently above a bandaged neck. huh. kate knocks on azula's door with a spirited rhythm. ]
no subject
... Enter.
[She even manages to sound imperious saying it. Inside, Azula is sitting upright on her bed, reading The Art of War.]

Cool. Hi. I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. [ she combs her fingers through loose dark hair and smiles. ] Kate. Kate Bishop.
no subject
[She looks Kate up and down once. The woman is clearly athletic, that much is clear.]
... You're late. Your presence was requested on the bridge for introductions some days ago. Explain yourself.
no subject
[ but she's not combative -- and not willing to die on this hill -- kate apologies: ] Sorry all the same. I'm hoping to make up for it now.
no subject
... Well, I suppose that will suffice. Don't make a habit of it, though.
Your allocated position on this ship is as the cook, is it not? [There are only four other crew mates here save herself. It wasn't exactly hard to memorize the roster.]
no subject
[ she's not proud of the position, exactly. but nor is she so bullheaded as to be ashamed of it. her discomfort doesn't originate in her soft upbringing (although she certainly had one of those) -- instead, kate can't help but feel the weight of squandered potential. she's practically an avenger for pete's sake! ]
Everybody's gotta eat, right? And whatever our Atroma overlords did to me -- [ she gestures at her neck, and once again takes pointed note of azula's. did she try and remove her augment? ] It's like they downloaded the Joy of Cooking: Proteins Version into my brain.

[ or is it an order? because this is a line in the sand they better hash out real quick, she figures. kate isn't spoiling for a fight, but she ain't no pushover. cooking augment or no. ]
no subject
Nothing like that. Consider it a friendly suggestion.
no subject
it's a little like a dance. ]
I whip us up something mostly edible. And you tell me what happened. [ to your neck. ] This ship isn't, like, booby-trapped. Is it?
no subject
No, no traps. Although, that is a good idea. ... No, it was a simple philosophical disagreement with another passenger. It's just a scratch.
