[he punches her in her not-drink-holding arm. and then gestures between them. yeah, come on, he'll fucking take you DON'T TELL HIM HOW TO LIVE HIS LIFE.]

[HA. Hook, line and sinker. Zhas has a lot of being baited by his older crewmates in his future.]

That's the spirit! Bartender!

[She takes the shot in a gulp.]

A round for me and my grouchy friend here!

[he quickly finishes whatever's in his glass--SURPRISE, it was blue watermelon--and nearly gags when he sets the glass back down. this stuff is like thin syrup, it's gross.]

[The bartender brings more shots over. He's just a humanoid, looking doubtful about these weird interlopers. Hange comes across more alarming than Zhas right now.]

Keep 'em coming, my man. [Hange turns to Zhas.] We'll alternate buying.

[he nods. it could get expensive, but it's not like he spends his money on much anyway. he will find a comfy spot to lean against the bar.]

[Two more shot glasses come. The fluid inside is pinkish: "strawberry" flavor. Hange snatches up one of the glasses immediately, and turns back to her dour buddy.]

Ready?

[strawberry... yuck.

but he was born ready. picks up his shotglass. NODS INTENTLY.]

[She takes the shot

she slams it down

still going GOOD]

Another! On the big guy this time!

[FUCK YES he is right there with her.

maybe the impending sugar rush will keep him from collapsing.]

[She laughs, grabs a green glass, takes the shot! Slams it down. Grabs a blue glass...]

I've seen gold raspberries and red raspberries but never blue. Why do they call it that?

[grabs his shotglass, slugs it down, slams it on the counter. he has no answer for you, but does make kind of this... gagging sound... it's totally gross, whatever it is.]

All right! Next one, in three, two, one - [She takes the shot]

[they are going to give this bar a lot of money, aren't they. he'll keep up with her as fast as she can down them...]

[This is doing exactly what she wanted. She can feel herself mellowing, though her eyes are bright. As such she'll be happy to get drunk.]

Hmm, I suppose I'd better be careful. I probably shouldn't piss in an alley here. [And then she laughs. Remember? Remember?]

You're fucking weird.

[that's what he has to say to that--and is maybe the first thing he's said all evening. making eye contact. TAKING ANOTHER SHOT.]

Don't pretend, you'd be bored to tears otherwise!

[SHE TAKES A SHOT TOO.]

[he rolls his eyes. wow though the room kind of did this spinny thing when he did that. is it kicking in? how drunk is he?]

[She laughs in a goodnatured way. She's definitely feeling this too, but the head-spinning sense of disconnection is just what she wanted from her alcohol. She might regret it in the morning, but even headaching, hangovery misery will be a good distraction from that music.]

[The booze, she means. And she picks up another shotglass...]

[oh, he makes a face as he reaches for another glass too, shaking his head. way worse.]

[She laughs giddily.]

All right! Three, two, one - [And takes it. Getting silly here.]

[he has no commentary. another shot! though he's starting to squint at her, wondering when she could possibly... stop... he's really starting to not feel good, with all this sugar in his stomach...]

[She slams the glass down and grins at him.]

Maybe I'll puke in an alley this time.

Hey. [...an uneven pause.] I did that, right.

You threw up? I don't know...

[Haha she giggles. What a cute mental image...]

You can't puke on every station.
