They are really pushing these Floot Loop things. Have you noticed the clothes? They all have... cereal-ey patterns... and Floot Loop is written absolutely everywhere.

It's fascinating, really.

I suppose. It seems more... shameless. Such aggressive marketing like this seems like it would make everyone sick of the cereal.

Well, good taste is something that this little farce has never promised us. [Hange shrugs. She has very little that's similar to provide any frame of reference in her own world as to if things are done this way or not.

Ah, and then she points to a little booth.] Is that the shop?

[she nods!] Yes, that's it.

Do you have an idea what flavor you'll get?

I'll see what they've got! [And they're close enough now that she can speak to the proprietor:] Say, what flavors do you have?

[The person is just happy to inform her all about what chemical concoctions there are for sale. Loopy lime, silly citrus, sassy strawberry... Hange smiles and nods through the whole recital, and eventually settles on a serving of sassy strawberry.

In a moment they're going through a weird process with putting the prepackaged ice cream into a machine where it's squished out into a cone in a long curl. Hange watches the whole weird process with incomprehension and fascination, smiling automatically, and swaps the cone for payment when it's offered to her.]

That sure was interesting! [And she takes a lick of ice cream.]

[haha, she giggles. Aw Hange, she likes your enthusiasm so much!!!]

How is it? Do you feel sassier?

I feel... cold!

[She takes another lick.]

Incredible, the technology we have here! I know we have that... refrigerator thing back on ship, but to keep food cold like this no matter the season is so ingenious! What do they make this with? Ice?

Mm... ice, cream, sugar, I think a little bit of salt, and whatever flavoring you desire.

[hm... she taps her chin] I believe the consistency comes from freezing it in a particular way? I've never done it myself, though, so I don't know the details.

How fascinating! How fascinating! [She laughs again, cheerful abruptly, and takes another lick.]

I wonder if we could learn how to do it and make our own? Well, let's sit down again. [AND SHE WILL HEAD BACK TOWARDS THE BENCH.]

I think so! We might need to find a special maker, we're bound to find a planet that has something like that.

[hm hm, she rolls her chair along with her, just kind of enjoying the bustling atmosphere and company. she likes idle chit chat like this]

That sounds like a good time. I'm sure if we build up the ship enough it'll become a more comfortable place to live.

[And it's only a short walk, so she sits herself down on the bench once they've arrived.]
