[Furiosa has been thinking lately; unfocused, meandering, leisurely. It's been an adjustment being in an environment that is at the same time far more free and open than the society she'd come from, and yet with distinct and unbreakable limitations.]

[Sitting with Max in the park, helping to build and grow the gardens on the Iskalut, even just caring for her own little plant from Asteffiel, were in themselves little victories, prided moments.]

[She begins a video feed in the park, the camera focused on a crow as she tosses it bits of bread (that, alone, was different; having enough food that you could give it to such a feathered thief.]

Parks aren't enough?

[The text might not convey it, but she asks with more curiosity than accusation. To someone used to so little green, any green she got was a blessing, but she figures someone used to a lot of it might not be so easily satisfied.]

Too many people. I want open spaces. Wilderness. I'd take barren mountains and desert over this station. At least it's real.

I'm sure the overcrowding doesn't help. How many past cap does your ship have?

We just lost one, takes us back to full, rather than over. And we have the best bunks we can buy.

You're lucky there. We're making do with two extra shipmates. I wonder how the other ships are faring.

I gave my bed to our extra. I only need the room, not the bed. We made her her own space.

I've been sleeping on the Captain's chair. Not much different than what I'm used to at home.

I don't know who our 'captain' is. They leave me alone, whoever they are.

He is, actually. He tends to get into fights with people who don't want to leave him alone.

I don't have that problem. People leave me alone.

Except the idiot vampire, but that one was my fault.

You'll have to give him some pointers. I think he's busy fending off unwanted hugs.

If people are hugging him otherwise, it's because he's being nice to them.

[She thinks on Bigby's words. Max she wouldn't necessarily call nice but there was a compassion about him that existed whether or not he believed it himself.]

[She's living proof, isn't she?] I guess I'll just tell him to be meaner?

Might be. I don't actually know where Sascha belongs, he just turns up here most of the time.

Be a bully. Make threats, follow through. Dislike everything that belongs on two legs on principle. That sort of thing.
