001. video
Who: Ordis and YOU
Broadcast: Video
Action: On the Marsiva
When: Now
[It isn't peaceful when the man in the broadcast finally stirs awake. One moment he's merely laying there, awkwardly nude and as still as death, the next he's a flailing mass of limbs that succeeds at knocking himself to the floor. There's a grunt as he meets the floor, and what ensues is a rather odd struggle as he tries unsuccessfully to untangle himself. The best he can manage is a disorganized heap, arms caught beneath his torso and cheek pressed uncomfortably into the floor as he very adamantly voices his displeasure.]
Ordis demands to know what is going on immediately!
[There's certainly anger in his tone, but beneath it there's notes of increasingly uncontrolled alarm, which only seem to increase exponentially with each word. Strangely though, it doesn't seem as though he's quite used to the act of even speaking though, as he struggles to unpin his arms, his hands fly to his face and fingers probing about his features with almost frenetic energy. It can't be pleasant, because there's an exlimation of surprise and pain that has him jerking back and staring wide eyed and horrified down at his arms.]
What is this?!?

Your partner won't forget you, don't worry. Partners don't. Even if he can't get to you, if he's a good partner he'll be thinking about you as much as you're thinking about him.
For now, you've got a job here that's probably not as cool as your job back home, but you can be good at that too. You definitely seem like someone who works hard and is competent, and that's important. [You know Wrath This is completely sincere.]

[Nothing good comes from being separated, never.]
And while there may be work here to be done, it cannot be as important as keeping the Operator safe.

...the Operator will come for Ordis. He has to.
[But for now he's stuck in this form, and so completely alone and it's so confusing and hard to try to wrap his head around.]
Your partner would come for you, correct?
THAT WAS MEAN
I know Maine would if he could. He did, before, when... when something bad happened to me. But I also know I'm not somewhere he can get to, right now.
[This hurts even more.]
So I don't think he will come for me. And it's not his fault or my fault. It's the Atroma's fault. But that doesn't make it hurt any less.
IT HURT MY HEART TOO OKAY
Ordis apologizes. He should have...thought better before asking.
Y U HURT US BOTH
But you shouldn't feel bad for asking honest questions and saying what you think. People don't do that enough. It's better to just be straightforward, and that way things aren't as confusing.
IT WAS THERE AND I AM A BAD PERSON

You're gonna be okay, Ordis.

That's okay, that makes sense. I don't think anyone should be upset with that, you've got important stuff to get back to. [The point was getting him to calm the fuck down and focus, and it seems to have worked.]
You're going to be stuck on the Marsiva, the ship you're on, til the end of the week. Then you'll get randomly put on one of the fleet ships. Everyone--most everyone is really nice, so don't worry too much, okay?
I'm on the Windrose. If you need help, call me, or you can fly a shuttle to the Windrose if you need to get away okay? Don't ever be afraid to ask for help.

[Well, maybe some haven't heard it called that, he can't really fault her. Given the choice, he would very much like to not deal with Hunhow again.]
But the Operator is Ordis' most important thing. He needs Ordis. And Ordis needs the Operator.
Being...on a ship doesn't seem right. It's awkward.
[Well, only if you're technically a spaceship too.]
But thank you. Ordis will remember that, and perhaps will contact you sooner than later. He will try to figure everything out so that he does not have to ask for assistance though. It is a cephalon's job to assist, not the other way around.
no subject
But I also didn't get to see the sky for such a long time before I got here... So. Maybe I just forgot. [Shrug.]
Everything gets less awkward the more times you do it. Well almost everything.
I'm a soldier. It's my job to serve. I can't really fight right now, so this is another way for me to do my job, okay? So don't feel bad.
no subject
[But not being able to see the sky? To see the quadrants? That sounds horrible.]
Ordis poses a question: if you were to suddenly find yourself wandering throughout another Oro-human's body, would that not feel very awkward? It is the same concept.
...and Ordis is supposed to serve, not be the one served. To be served would be so...strange.
no subject
[She falls silent, considering this.]
That's... kind of how it's been for me. How it's felt, since I got out of the hospital. I don't think it's exactly the same, cause I'm used to walking and eating and shit, and that hasn't changed. But... yeah. [The whole part where it doesn't feel like her body, where it's felt like a cage, like an enemy? Probably not exactly what he means.]
That kind of thing can also be how people show they like you and care about you, Ordis.
no subject
Ordis wonders, why would someone so new feel the need to like Ordis?
no subject
Why wouldn't someone?
[Answered your question with a question. Take that, computer boy.]
no subject
[Though it is very nice.]
no subject
So why not. It's better to be kind and generous and see as much good as you can. At least I think so.

You're gonna be okay. You're kind and generous and tough. [Statement of fact. True whether you agree with it or not.]
'computer person tits' would be a great band name
[Kind and generous though? Probably not so much, if some of the tenno's missing mods are anything to go by.]
