[ The video feed clicks on as Ororo wakes, with the sound of her cape's wrist bangles clattering against whatever assorted metal fixtures there are on the bed as she gets to her feet. It's quiet aside from the background noise of the Hospitality Deck, with Ororo silently assessing the situation she'd found herself in. Was it a kidnapping? She could see the void of stars and space through the large window - had she been pulled into another intergalactic issue? Ororo frowned, the sparks of lightning crawling along her skin making the video feed flicker with static. ]

[ Assuming that there were other X-Men with her here somewhere (nine times out of ten they were pulled into these things together), she decided to go looking for them and regroup... or at least find someone on the Deck to question. She takes the communicator with her just because it looked useful, but neglects to switch it off or anything - so between brief moments of static from her lightning, it happens to pick up her movement and voice as she mutters to herself: ]

By the Goddess, I do not have time for this. I have a school to run!

[She lightly bites the inside of her bottom lip. She's going to have to point it out.]

There are. [But she can't just start listing them because eventually she'll get to someone who is a villain or unknown or dead or any other strange or traumatic thing.]

I wasn't at a faculty meeting. [So her world's Kitty is a teacher? Laura did mention an Institute.]

[Maybe it's the voice or the way of speaking that finally gets to her, but Ororo is taking a closer look at her device's screen and frowning thoughtfully.]

... No, I suppose not.

[She answered to Kitten before, but...]

Who are you?

[Okay, that hurts a little.] I'm still Kitty Pryde. Still an X-Man. But we're from different realities. There's a lot of that here.

[... sorry Kitty!! But they live in a world where shapeshifters are a thing you know.]

Ah. I think I see, now. [She gives her a small, apologetic smile.] You seem to know me despite that...? [She's not sure if that's a good or bad thing? Hopefully a good thing.]

[Fair enough. Also not Mystique.]

I know my Ororo. [So possessive.] We were on the team together.

[Hearing that is all it takes for her smile to warm. Kitty is just. So dear to her.]

That's good to hear.

So then, are the rest of your team here with you? [She did mention others being here, after all.]

Some of them are here. I don't know if you'll recognize all of them as your team. There are at least four different realities represented. [Maybe more. She's not sure if Laura's or Storm's overlap anyone else's yet.]

Four? [That's... a lot, even by X-Men standards.] Goodness. Just what is going on here?

The Atroma pull people into the fleet from different realities, worlds, and points in time to star in reality TV. You're on the arrival ship. You'll get shuffled off to one of the other ones with skills for some position on it through an augment implanted in the back of your neck. [A thing she shouldn't have told Laura because then she had to convince her not to slice it out then and there with no one with her. She doubts Storm would do the same.]

I'm getting pretty good at boiling it down. I've been here a month now.

Reality TV? [Ororo's frown deepens. That... sounds unfortunately familiar.] Are we sure Mojo and his like aren't the ones behind this?

Logan mentioned that name too. [It meant nothing to her and since he never explained it it still doesn't aside from the connection.]

Yes. We've run into him a few times. His modus operandi is quite similar to what you mentioned... though his methods tend to be a bit more... ostentatious. [She shakes her head.]

But - Logan's here as well? [Hopefully it's a Logan that's good to work with. He was good to have on their side.]

No one else has mentioned that name. I guess it's possible. [But she usually assumes people are wrong when they think the big bad is one from their world. Even if it is Storm thinking it.]

Logan's here. And Rogue, Kurt, Remy, Laura [Not that she knew her at all from her world, but she knows she's an X-Man. Just a slight hesitation before the next one.], and Erik.

[Because she's Storm, she makes a running tally of those names in her head... Logan, Rogue, Kurt, Remy, Laura - not a bad team. It would depend on the universes they were from, of course, but if they were anything like the ones from home, they were reliable and could probably/hopefully work well together, and...]

- Erik is here? [There isn't as much animosity in her voice as one would expect. But she hasn't seen him in a while, and has only heard whispers about what he's been up to since their team split...]

[Nodding.] Younger than I would have expected. [And his life is more complicated, and maybe he would have introduced himself to her as Blade, but she assumed Storm would see the resemblance for herself. She is relieved by Storm's neutral reaction. It reminds her of Logan's again.]

[Now that does make her raise her eyebrows. A younger Erik would be interesting to meet.]

He's from the past, then? How interesting. [... Hopefully that wouldn't make him difficult to deal with.]

A past anyway. Then again the Kurt here thinks I'm supposed to only be a year or two younger than him, so not everything makes a lot of sense.

[-- Well, now that she mentions his name again when she isn't so focused on team dynamics or rosters...]

... And how old is he, actually? [She isn't sure what she expects or wants to expect to hear, but it'd be nice to be given a heads up.]

Teenager. Maybe sixteen? [Not that she wants to speak for any of them when they can speak for themselves, but a little heads up can be a good thing and Storm is Storm...even if she is someone else's Storm.]

[Give her a few seconds to negotiate her feelings. It's not her Kurt, obviously, he'd be much older, and she's not sure if she should be relieved or disappointed.

But at the same time, to see a Kurt at all... Well, for now all she lets herself do, with an audience watching, is sigh and shake her head.]

That young... He must feel so lost here.

He seems pretty resilient. Upbeat. [But then she's also hesitant to let him in on any of life's harsh realities. He doesn't really seem prepared for that. And he could easily be hiding the other feelings behind the laughs and the charm.] He's been here longer than me and Rogue and Remy are from his world.

[It would be just like Kurt if he did that, Ororo wouldn't be surprised.

But, more importantly - ]

And you, Kitty? Is there anyone here from your own reality?

Me? No. Never is. [She'll go ahead and pretend like that doesn't bother her, not that she's doing a great job of it. She shrugs.] You get used to it.

[Ororo sees right through that lie, young lady. ... ... Of course she isn't her young lady, so she's a bit hesitant to make mention of it right now. Perhaps if they were in person...]

I'm sorry. It sounds like you've been through this sort of thing for a while.

I was in a place calling itself a prison for almost a year before this place. Same kind of deal where people come from all kinds of worlds and realities and timelines.
