[Hello Fleet, it's been a while since you all have seen this particular redhead's face on the network. Months, really, since she's made a public broadcast like this. She appears to be in a good mood, offering the fleet a smile, and even if her address is rather formal, her tone is warm and welcoming. Behind her is the greenhouse of the Iskaulit, with lots of tropical-looking plants and even what looks like fruit! Weird fruit! But fruit nonetheless.]

Good afternoon! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Dr. Beverly Crusher of the SS Blue Fish. I, along with Ino Yamanaka on the Three Twins, run the garden here on the Iskaulit. I've spoken with many of you who have expressed an interest in learning how to garden. In light of this, I've decided to offer classes of a sort... nothing too formal, just a weekly meeting where I can teach people the basics of taking care of plants in the environment of a starship. Though of course, if people want something more extensive, I'm more than happy to accommodate for that! But it seems best to start simple, see what people are most interested in. So, if this is something you think you'd like to be a part of or if you have any questions, you can either respond here or I'll be on the Iskaulit the rest of the afternoon should you prefer to talk in person.

How fascinating. And you grow them there, on the ship? How were you able to set up the correct environment for these? [Ororo's just so excited by the prospect of a greenhouse/nursery/garden.]

Well, I’m fortunate enough to already know a good deal about growing plants on a starship and to have the wonderful help of some of our engineers in building a water filtration system, sunlamps, and other such necessities. [She smiles proudly: time to brag about her ship family!] I have some very talented crewmates as well, with the ability to manipulate water or earth or fire, so they have been of immense help too. It’s truly been a communal project, just as Ino and I intended from the start.

It sounds like it's coming along wonderfully as well. After all the effort you and your crew have put into it, it sounds as though you deserve some congratulations.

I am a little jealous, I think. [ She chuckles lightly. ] I rarely had such a positive response from people I knew whenever I had projects like these.

People here have generally been very good at helping one another out on things like this. There's also a gymnasium, a library, and an interfaith center on the Iskaulit, as well as a few bars. We might even be putting in a dog park. Or well, fox park is probably more accurate. In any case, I think you'll find plenty of people willing to chip in.

That does seem to be the case here.

Perhaps I will drop by some time, if you wouldn't mind. I could help as well, if you find yourself in need of an extra pair of hands, or a rainshower of a particular temperature.

Oh, are you a water bender as well?

[She looks excited about it. Honorary water tribe member after all.]

A... water bender? [She frowns. That's an odd term.] I do not call myself that, but I suppose if you take it literally, you could perhaps call some of what I do as bending water... In a manner of speaking. [Maybe. Kind of? Huh...]

Ah... sorry, it's just that one of my crewmates has abilities that sound like yours. I thought perhaps you were from her world.

Perhaps, perhaps not. There are others who have abilities similar to mine, but I've not heard that sort of term used for them. [She shrugs. It's a possibility she won't discount.]

I personally do not manipulate water, however. [She sort of did though, maybe, depending on who she asked. Water was a part of the grander scheme that was the weather, after all.] Not much outside of precipitation, at least.

[She nods, then thoughtfully rests her chin on her hand. Katara must have an already present body of water to work with. She cannot create water. But Storm might be different.]

How exactly do your abilities work then? If you don't mind my asking.
